After a poor start, FOX pulled Sons of Tucson from the schedule. The network maintained that TV show was not cancelled. Well, it is now.
Sons of Tucson follows a sporting goods store clerk (Tyler Labine) who lives in his car. He’s hired by three boys (Benjamin Stockham, Frank Dolce, and Matthew Levy) to play their father for a school meeting after their real dad goes to jail for banking fraud. In case of future emergencies, he moves into their tool shed. The series also features Sarayu Rao, Edwin Habacon, and Natalie Martinez.
The series got off to a poor start with just a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.47 million viewers. Subsequent episodes performed even worse, with number four attracting only a 1.4 rating in the demo and 3.13 million viewers.
The TV show was pulled from the schedule and the network touted it as merely a hiatus and not a cancellation. However, with ratings like these, you could tell that the show’s chances for a second season were in serious doubt.
FOX has now officially cancelled Sons of Tucson but new episodes are still scheduled to start airing on June 6th. The remaining nine installments will air over the summer and the series finale is expected to air on August 1st.

Sons of tuscon!! Ne’er hear of it!! Watched it on Netflix absolutely amazing. That show should come back. Better time slot, tie the episodes together but everything else is great

personally i loved the show, i think it is stupid how they cancelled the show. It was funny, maybe the story needed a little more fillin in…. but it still came through.
Just saw this on netflix loved it, and I went on YouTube to look for season 2 but the show was cancelled.They need to bring it back its so funny.
I have to agree with everyone, this show is great and deserves to continue on with production. I can understand how the first few episodes got bad ratings, their isn’t much character development, but later on, pretty much right after ep. 4, it is great! Lets hope that the 9 installments of season 2 hit big, that way they will have no choice but to continue with it.

The show had great delivery, touching moments and made me laugh the whole time. Maybe if the show wasn’t on a retarded network and instead was on something like comedy central where it belongs the show may not have been cancelled. Pissed to see its over

the cancellation of this show is unacceptable. it is way too good to just stop because of ratings, did the demograph also include people that mainly watch netflix? such as myself. probably not. i don’t think enough people even knew about it. and if they did i’m certain that this show would be as big a hit as malcom in the middle. give it a chance.
