This drama centers on the appearance of mysterious sea creatures in the deep ocean, and the lives of naval officers in the South Antarctic Sea, a family in North Carolina, scientists from the Oceanographic Institute in Monterey, and fishermen in the Gulf of Mexico.

The seemingly innocent creatures they find are beautiful but full of surprises. As the story develops, we discover what truly is lurking under the sea.

Series Finale:
Episode 15 – Who will be left behind?
With a tsunami on the way, Wilmington, NC residents (like Miles and his family) are being forced to evacuate the island.

Laura travels to find Rich who has been arrested by military police at the mysterious laboratory. As the lab employees evacuate the building, he’s locked in a cell and left to die.

Miles’ girlfriend Caitlin has gone missing and he goes back to find her. With the help of Nim, Miles eventually finds her unconscious on the side of the road. As they try to escape the tsunami by car, they run into Laura and Rich who have escaped from the lab. They run out of gas and flee to a church just as a giant wave come towards them.

Inside the church, Laura and Miles see a big creature swimming around in the water. As a second wave comes crashing in, they make it up to the roof of the church. On the roof, the four look out over a flooded city and Laura says, “It’s a whole new world.”

Just finished watching the 15th episode of Surface. It’s unfortunate that a great series could not be continued.Someone needs to pitch this show to SciFi in lieu of some of these other poorly written and acted shows they are currently creating. It’s a show with decent writing, acting and graphics. BRING BACK SURFACE!

I love Surface and continue to watch the DVD’s over and over. I hate that we are left hanging, not knowing if the stars made it out of the church or if they were eaten by the creatures. I’m thinking that maybe Nemrod protected and saved them and “maybe” Miles parents or Laura’s ex sent a plane out to look for them. There are just too many possibilities. The creatures live in the water but can walk on land– maybe once the water recedes they will go back into the ocean, WHO KNOWS— NOT US–BECAUSE THE SHOW WAS CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please bring Surface back

I just finished watching it, my 10 year old granddaughter turned me on to it, but now we’re left hanging and desperate to find out how it would have ended. They really need to bring it back. We loved it.

Hello. I WATCH NETFLIX ! ( Thank you for airing “SURFACE”, Netflix.) I just watched the first 15 episodes. I am addicted to this show and extremely hopeful that it will continue in ANY form. The last episode is left way too open for anyone’s satisfaction. I agree with all these posts. PLEASE bring it back as a DVD series colllection,…even as a BOOK and fans would be THRILLED! Thank you!

Why can’t the TV producer see what is going on with 21st Century here??? Almost 50% – 70% of the population is using INTERNET rather than watching CABLE ON TV. Why would they based on the ratings of people watch on TV but not INTERNET like NETFLIX, HULU, ECT….. They could at least get the rating from there too.

So many good show got canceled because not many people watch it, please consider rating from INTERNET LEGALLY PAID SUBSCRIPTION STREAMINGS.

Please also reconsider continue all those good shows that are canceled. So sad.
