Will there be a second season of 24: Legacy? FOX boss Dana Walden recently discussed the status of the reboot series, Deadline reports.
The action drama stars Corey Hawkins as Eric Carter, an Army Ranger who becomes the target of a terrorist organization. The cast also includes Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits, Teddy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop, Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Pena, and Sheila Vand.
During a recent conference, Walden said she was disappointed with the ratings for 24: Legacy so far:
I’m a little sad because I feel like it’s a really good show. We’re doing about 7-8 million viewers over seven days per episode. It’s not terrible. We had really high hopes for the show. Perhaps our launch strategy was a little over-ambitious.”
Only five episodes in, the show’s first season is averaging a 2.17 rating in the 18-49 demo and 7.470 million viewers. While decent, the ratings are way down from the series’ premiere, which aired right after the Super Bowl and earned a 6.10 in the 18-49 demo and 17.576 million viewers.
Walden said FOX will see how the show performs and reassess its season two chances in May:
We’re going to see. I would love nothing more than to bring it back because I thought it was great but we’re just going to have to see how our pilots come in, how it continues to perform and weigh all of the information we have in May.”

Yes, I would love to see a season 2 of 24 legacy. I have been watching 24 since Keiffer Sutherland played Jack Bauer.
I loved this show ! I’m finishing the last episode as I’m writing this , I could not just stop watching this show please come out with a second season!
I guess I am alone in saying that although I watched every episode I didn’t love the show. Maybe I set my expectations too high. Unlike the original 24, the characters in Legacy did not have much chemistry with each other. To me the high point of the season was when the gang bangers saved the day. I’m sure I’d watch a season 2, but would love to see a bunch of cast changes. Jimmy Smits was horrible.

We are hoping for season 2. We watch very few shows, and this one is a favorite! Look forward to it every Monday.
i loved it .there are a few things that didn’t didn’t really fly but it got my interest.I hope for another season I’m so tired of the cliff-hanger endings without a “for-sure ” next season ..like what they did with “Grimm” that’s awful.

The show is absolutely awful. Totally unoriginal and devoid of imagination. Why else the-let’s kidnap the wife and brother, save them and then kidnap the senator? Who writes this, a room full of monkeys? The show has lost its focus. Tony would be a much better Carter.
I live the show!! Please bring it back! I miss the old 24 and Jack Bauer but this is close and I love it!
What did they expect? The show is OK but it’s not “24”. If Jack Bauer isn’t there, it’s not “24”.
And what’s with bringing Tony back AGAIN? Sheesh. Bring a dead character back to life who we all saw die is the laziest and cheapest form of writing. Last time we saw Tony, he was going to jail for life or the death penalty for being a terrorist. Now he’s out on the streets again. Get rid of Tony, please.
This is a great show that launched at an odd time. But has ALL the flavor of the original show which was a little ahead of it’s time…I believe given a chance it’s audience will grow. Some people what for season 2 because we get so tired of one season cancellations.
If everyone hear shares that 24 Legacy is really good, Tony is coming back and the show airs Monday nights at 8pm on Fox to all their family and friends, co workers etc, we can get viewership up for next week. Start spreading the word to people. Thank you.
