TV show description:
A coming-of-age story, this TV show is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby.
After writing a hit song, Will Freeman (David Walton) didn’t have to worry about working ever again. It brought him a life of free time, free love, and freedom from financial woes. He’s single, unemployed and loving it. He’s seen how the other half live through his best friend — Andy (Al Madrigal), a thoroughly whipped stay-at-home dad — and wants no part of it.
Things get interesting when needy single mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move in next door to Will and disrupt his perfect world.
When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend — until Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is made: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house — playing Ping-Pong and gorging on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.
Before he knows it, Will starts to enjoy the visits and even finds himself looking out for the kid. In fact, this newfound friendship starts to teach him a few things about himself and about caring for others.

What do you think? Do you like the About a Boy TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season instead?
Love this show please don’t cancel.
Please don’t cancel. It is a refreshing plot and one of the more humorous shows on TV. It is nice to feel comfortable watching something with my young teenage son.
This is a really good show with a great cast. David Walton is superb as Will. The program has been getting better with every episode.
This is a delightful show! It is well written, with talented actors. And it avoids the artificiality of many sitcoms with a child star. Marcus is as natural as Opie Taylor. It is original and believable. Please keep the show on!
This is one of the better NBC shows on now. Love the humor and story line. Please do not cancel.
Love this show – never miss it – do not cancel – wish it was an hour long or more 🙂
I love this show “About a Boy.”
It is a great show but time slot is all wrong. This would be great earlier in the evening and perhaps even on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.
Don’t cancel, this is my favorite show!
