TV show description:
A coming-of-age story, this TV show is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby.
After writing a hit song, Will Freeman (David Walton) didn’t have to worry about working ever again. It brought him a life of free time, free love, and freedom from financial woes. He’s single, unemployed and loving it. He’s seen how the other half live through his best friend — Andy (Al Madrigal), a thoroughly whipped stay-at-home dad — and wants no part of it.
Things get interesting when needy single mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move in next door to Will and disrupt his perfect world.
When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend — until Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is made: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house — playing Ping-Pong and gorging on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.
Before he knows it, Will starts to enjoy the visits and even finds himself looking out for the kid. In fact, this newfound friendship starts to teach him a few things about himself and about caring for others.

What do you think? Do you like the About a Boy TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season instead?
Love this show. So nice to watch something with no violence, crime, and gore.
Don’t cancel this show!! Really enjoy watching. Love the cast!!
Why are all the decent shows cancelled. I and other friends and family like the show a lot and we watch it. I do think the writers could do a better job so that people remain interested. Great cast, very talented give them good story lines and you would have a hit.
Fun show…don’t cancel…I was wondering what happened to it…
Love it and Miss it!
My husband and I LOVE “About a Boy”! NBC, please keep it on the air. The writing is wonderful, the cast is great and the story line is spot on. It makes for a fun night of TV by watching Chicago Fire immediately afterwards. Again, please keep “About a Boy” on the air.
