TV show description:
A coming-of-age story, this TV show is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby.
After writing a hit song, Will Freeman (David Walton) didn’t have to worry about working ever again. It brought him a life of free time, free love, and freedom from financial woes. He’s single, unemployed and loving it. He’s seen how the other half live through his best friend — Andy (Al Madrigal), a thoroughly whipped stay-at-home dad — and wants no part of it.
Things get interesting when needy single mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move in next door to Will and disrupt his perfect world.
When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend — until Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is made: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house — playing Ping-Pong and gorging on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.
Before he knows it, Will starts to enjoy the visits and even finds himself looking out for the kid. In fact, this newfound friendship starts to teach him a few things about himself and about caring for others.

What do you think? Do you like the About a Boy TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season instead?
Don’t cancel this show it’s one of the best sitcom in a long long time
Please do not cancel this show
This is a charming show. I really hope we see it return.
Please don’t cancel “About a Boy”! We love this show.
I love this show.
We love this show!!!!! Excellent cast, look forward to watching each week.
Please keep this show going!!!!!!!
One of the best new shows on TV!!! I love this show and it is one that I can put on when the kids are over as well!! They BETTER renew this . It is one of the better shows on TV!!!!
Please do not cancel this show. I look forward to seeing this every week. It is very heartwarming. GREAT SHOW!m
Awesome show. Best comedy/feel good show on TV. This should be a no-brainer renewal, and I’ve watched a lot of TV for 60 years. NBC needs to do a better job of promoting shows like this and take viewer numbers (which I don’t even know about)with a grain of salt. The show has drawn the toughest night with you slotting it against one of the NCIS shows. Really? And I still watch it ahead of them (I tape them). Keep it at all costs AND give it a little publicity.
I love the show. I think that Will and Fiona should eventually end up together because Will is the dad Marcus needs and they are too close to separate.
Great show, great cast, look forward every week to watching this.
This and Growing Up Fisher are two fantastic back to back shows. I wouldn’t believe that I would ever make time to watch a couple of TV shows but here I am! Love the refreshing and appealing story the shows present. A couple of real winners. Please let’s have more.
Definitely should be renewed, grest show that is both funny and touching!
I love this show – definitely should be renewed.
About a Boy is a charming show. I absolutely love it and hope NBC brings it back in the fall. The chemistry between Will and Marcus is tangible. A thoroughly enjoyable show.
