It seems The Amazing World of Gumball might not be ending after all. Recently, Cartoon Network released a statement concerning the future of the animated series.
Earlier, we reported that the show was ending after its creator, Ben Bocquelet, tweeted that season six would feature the series’ final episode.
Now, Cartoon Network has announced that while the series might not end after season six, Bocquelet will be leaving. As of now, he is working on the show’s sixth season.

Ben is currently working on season 6 and will then be moving on from The Amazing World of Gumball. We respect people move on from projects but we have a great and talented team behind the show. To date the series has won 28 international awards including 6 BAFTAs, and is also our most viewed Turner-produced show globally with more than 170 million tuning in worldwide last quarter. We have just greenlit another season and will continue producing the show and engaging fans across the world.”

I’m pretty bummed that season 6 may really be the last. There was so much I was hoping to see in this show. But there is still one whole season so maybe there is still a chance. I’m hoping for an episode where Penny’s sister and parents come out of their shells because if one comes out her shell and the rest don’t I find it a waste of creativity. I understand that the creator wanna do something new, but I will say this it is too soon to end the show due to the fact that its one of the most viewed shows on CN. I can only imagine how TAWOG fans will react on the final episode of the show. Me myself would hate it I watch this show so much even on YouTube I watch it. So CN Team please don’t end the amazing world of gumball it’s just too soon to be doing so. I would like it to run as much as possible
im a huge fan of the amazing world of gumball in my opinion i want it to end with atleast 12 or 13 seasons i know its a bit much but i rembered the first show premeire announcement and i was really excited for it

I hope they make a whole bunch more tbh. Its such a happy, funny and bright show and I would be completely devistated to see it end quickly. Long live Gumball!!
