American Crime Story brought John Travolta back to television, and he has already revealed that he wants to do more work on the small screen. However, he has made it clear that he wants to work with Ryan Murphy and his team for those future endeavors.
Now, he has revealed which project he wants to put his stamp on next. According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Travolta revealed that he already has his eye on season two of American Crime Story, which will deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
At an event to screen the finale of the FX series on Monday night, he said the following:
“I told them I was interested and that it was up to them. I don’t think they expected that I would say that, but because [Katrina] comes close to home, I felt that way.”
He went on to reveal why the Katrina story resonates with him. He said:
“I’m very interested in the Katrina story because Kelly and I were actually a part of that in real life. We went with a plane-load of medics and supplies and went deep into the parishes to help people, so I have a personal feeling about that. It touches me deeply.”
