The new season of American Horror Story will be missing a familiar face. TVLine reports Kathy Bates will not star in season seven of the FX TV show.
Bates has appeared in the previous four seasons of the horror anthology drama. The new season is titled Cult and will revolve around the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election.
Bates is currently starring in Netflix’s upcoming comedy series Disjointed. However, there will be several returning American Horror Story stars in season seven. The cast currently includes Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Alison Pill, Colton Haynes, Lena Dunham, and Adina Porter.
The new season premieres on FX on September 5th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch American Horror Story? Will you still watch the new season even without Kathy Bates?
