American Housewife was cancelled by ABC on Friday, and the cast has now reacted to the series not getting a sixth season. Katy Mixon, Diedrich Bader, Meg Donnelly, Daniel DiMaggio, Giselle Eisenberg, and Ali Wong star in the comedy series which follows the Otto family as they live in a wealthy town in Connecticut. The last episode of the comedy aired on March 31st.

Shoutout to my friends on #AmericanHousewife. Great group of hilarious and lovely people. It’s tough – there are no guarantees, even on a successful, highly- rated show. It’s unfair they don’t get a proper send-off, but that’s showbiz, as they say.

So so sad it has ended. I truly never missed one episode. I was looking forward to seeing it air again. You all were great…the cast was perfectly matched. You all will be missed by so many.
I don’t understand why a great show has been cancelled. They’ll replace it with a new that has more sex bad language. That’s what the world is about I guess. Hopefully someone else will pick it up. It’s a great show
I have watched every episode of American housewives I thought the show was funny it wasn’t quite the same without the original Anna cat but it was still good I think they should have at least got a farewell season but that’s just my opinion
From the same network which canceled Last Man Standing. They must use a dartboard.
Please someone explain to me why well written pithy solid sitcom’s with moral values are constantly be canceled. I guess it will be replaced by a hooky reality show or a crime drama. Just what we all need.

WOW! We lost Mom,Superstore and now American Housewife,in a time when we need to be able to laugh and feel happy as much as we can. Why take away our funny shows?

This isn’t right, American Housewife shouldn’t be canceled, I really wish another network would at least pick up this show so it can continue
I will also miss American House Wife.. I would like to have seen one more season.
What is not funny is how the three major networks are canceling great shows that the watchers want. This was a show the family watched, then All Rise, Mom, way to many. Soon cable will be gone by end of year I believe. Then everyone will be streaming their shows. These Networks think they decide what we watch, that is if you are not 18-39. I guess they simply do not care. Yet trash shows remain after 21 years reality shows at that.
My hope soon writers will have their own streaming platform.
I am very disappointed with ABC’S cancellation of one of my favs. The show will be greatly missed.
