Last night, NBC aired the season finale of American Odyssey. Though the show’s ratings have been very poor, there’s apparently still some hope that the drama will survive to see a second season.
Last night, executive producer Peter Horton wrote, “Seeing your comments all season, but especially tonight, best fans ever. Will let you know about season two tomorrow. xo #AmericanOdyssey”
Unfortunately for fans of American Odyssey, the ratings have not been good. The series debuted to low ratings — a 1.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.372 million viewers — and they’ve gotten much worse since then. Last week’s installment hit a new low with a 0.4 in the demo and 2.2 million.
6/29 update: Series co-creator Adam Armus has tweeted, “No news today dear #AmericanOdyssey fans. See you here tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.”
6/30 update: NBC has cancelled the series.

Blame the network for not promoting it better. It was(is hopefully) a great show. Looked forward to it every week

Great show bring it back for season 2
Just caught up with last nights finale. This has the ability to be the next 24 if creativity is done correctly! It’s borderline already!!! So many different stories can go on simultaneously—- Put Season 2 on TNT if the current doesn’t renew!
American Odyssy is one of the best series I have followed. I’d hate to see it end. All aspects of this show are intriguing, to say the least. Excellent actors, screenwriting, photography and music. I absolutely love this show. Please keep it going!
My husband and I love this show and it’s the only the show we watch faithfully each week–it doesn’t seem done and please let there be another series. It is excellent!

Also. Ratings is an obsolete measure. I never watch a show live. I record and watch when I can because of my work schedule. Most people do that now
I really hope for season two.. show is great and I am sick tired of good shows that never see an end. How are we supposed to watch a series when there is no guarantee that it will end?
I am more like to wait and download a series that is already ended and never watch a series in the run.
loved the show. just heard about it and watched whole season in three days. I have too see what happens to odelle and aslam. I think advertisement was the reason ratings so low. no one heard about the show. those who have loves it. bring on season two!
I just think a lot of people didn’t know about it. It started at a weird time. Give it a season 2 and let us fans get the word out. We need to see more heroes that put it all on the line to do the right thing. It’s inspiring
