Last night, NBC aired the season finale of American Odyssey. Though the show’s ratings have been very poor, there’s apparently still some hope that the drama will survive to see a second season.
Last night, executive producer Peter Horton wrote, “Seeing your comments all season, but especially tonight, best fans ever. Will let you know about season two tomorrow. xo #AmericanOdyssey”
Unfortunately for fans of American Odyssey, the ratings have not been good. The series debuted to low ratings — a 1.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.372 million viewers — and they’ve gotten much worse since then. Last week’s installment hit a new low with a 0.4 in the demo and 2.2 million.
6/29 update: Series co-creator Adam Armus has tweeted, “No news today dear #AmericanOdyssey fans. See you here tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.”
6/30 update: NBC has cancelled the series.

My vote goes to continuing the series: which is well written, engaging, human dilemnas, intriguing, suspenseful plot, characters are well developed, realistic, interesting.

Can’t wait for more of the story to come out – please bring it back for a second season. Every episode of American Odyssey has kept us on the edge of our seats! I truly believe that this show will get more
viewers as word gets out about this series.
We loved this show. You absolutely cannot cancel it and leave us hanging! You have Peter and Sarah, Harrison, Bob, Odell and her family, and the evil Colonel Glen!! There’s some great material there.
Final episode left us hanging. Will there be a REAL final episode? Really liked this series.
Keep this show going, I want to see what happens next, one of the few shows I really look forward to seeing each week.
My husband and I LOVE the show! It has been riveting. Too bad more people didn’t tune in. Great show!
