TV show description:
Charlie Goodson (Charlie Sheen) is a non-traditional therapist who specializes in anger management. He has a successful private practice and holds sessions with his group of primary patient regulars each week. He also hosts pro bono counseling sessions for an inmate group at a state prison.
Prior to his becoming a therapist, Charlie was a stalled minor league baseball prospect. His road to the majors was sidetracked by his own struggle with anger issues. After a stint in therapy with the team’s psychologist, Kate Wales (Selma Blair), he made it to the majors and had one terrific season before his anger issues put him on the shelf for good. In the final game of his career, he tried to snap a bat over his leg, which resulted in a career-ending injury. That injury led him back to school and his current profession.
Charlie thrives on the chaos in his life while still battling his own anger issues. His life is complicated by his relationships with his therapist/best friend/sex partner Kate; his beautiful ex-wife Jennifer (Shawnee Smith) — whose positive outlook, but poor choice in men, frustrates Charlie; and their 13-year-old daughter, Sam (Daniela Bobadilla), who has OCD.
On top of that, he has to try to help his patients, like Patrick (Michael Arden), who have plenty of problems of their own. Lacey (Noureen DeWulf) is a spoiled rich girl who’s sent to join Charlie’s group after she shot her cheating boyfriend. Nolan (Derek Richardson) has the strangest anger issue of all — he has no anger.
Episode #100 — Charlie & the 100th Episode
Charlie has to make a decision between keeping his group and being a sports psychologist for his former baseball team. He takes the job for awhile but it’s not what he’d expected and he happily returns to helping his group.
First aired: December 22, 2014
What do you think? Do you think Anger Management should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Anger Managment should be renewed. This show is so funny …Love it!
A very funny show. I looked forward to watching it.
I loved this show. Really hope it comes back. Regardless of Charlie’s private life, he is excellent in comedic roles. He’s a genius. By the way, I am definetely not in the demographic pool that the show is trying to reach. Baby boomer!!
Its too bad, he has HIV, but it’s his own fault,he knew what he was doing, when he did it,Either Coke or sex, probably sex, with a woman who had HIV.
I love this show and Charlie sheen best actor, funny guy place being come back the show.
Yes, I miss all the characters on the show!
Great show, Miss it
Please bring Anger management, these actors would play off of each other, all in a funny way.
I was shocked it was put into remission.
I liked Lacey, she had spunk! (Also HOT)
I’m bummed. I used to watch it at night. I love lacey and Nolan and Selma Blair and Charlie and Jen and all the funny dynamics and situations. I really liked it. I sit with the tv on mute now until I fall asleep. Not happy Charlie
I thought he had a pretty funny TV show, it was not all him, the other characters on the show were all funny,I liked how they played off of each other.
Good choice cancelled
I won’t miss it. Same old Same old Charlie hopping from one bed to another.
OK,you won’t miss it,why did you watch it to begin with?
I loved this show only because it starred Charlie Sheen…lol. I didn’t particularly like Selma Blaire as his girlfriend. She was pretty enough, but definitely not “sexy”. She had the wrong body type to be cast opposite Charlie Sheen. He needed a woman with Va-Va-VOOM. That whole “love interest” part of the show was boring. Bring back Charlie in something else—-anything! I’ll watch it for sure! There are lots of Charlie Sheen fans out here! 😀
It was nice to see Charlie make a comeback. I hope to see more shows with him as the lead. Truly an excellent entertainer.
