America’s Next Top Model ended on CW last month, and Fablife has been cancelled too. Both series featured Tyra Banks in important roles. The model departed Fablife in November, and recent comments by CW’s man in charge revealed that Tyra Banks thought it was time for America’s Next Top Model to end.
Fans were shocked by the cancellation of America’s Next Top Model especially. The series still has many loyal fans, and there has already been talk of reviving the new series.
There is news about Tyra Banks that helps shed a little light on why Banks ended her time on Fablife and America’s Next Top Model. Us Weekly reported on Wednesday that Banks and her boyfriend are now the new parents of a baby, thanks to help from a surrogate.
Banks has spoken extensively about her troubles conceiving in the past. She shared the happy news on a post on her Instagram that said:
“The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He’s got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik’s mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone. York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.”
Did Tyra Banks leave both Fablife and America’s Next Top Model to focus on being a new mom? There is no way to know for sure, but she will surely be quite busy with the new arrival in her life for the months to come.
She won’t stay at home completely though. TV Line reported early Thursday that she has signed on as an advisor for the next season of Celebrity Apprentice.
