TV show description:
A high-tech police drama series, APB is inspired by a New York Times Magazine article by David Amsden.
The Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control thanks to high crime, officer-involved shootings, cover-ups, corruption, and under-funding. Billionaire engineer Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk) wants to change all that. After his best friend is murdered in a botched robbery attempt, the killer remains at large and Reeves demands justice.
Putting up millions of dollars of his own money, he makes an unprecedented deal to take charge of the troubled 13th District. He wants to reboot it as a technically innovative police force. With Gideon himself having created the department’s cutting-edge technology, this eccentric yet brilliant outsider challenges the city’s police force to rethink everything about the way they fight crime.
But the near-overnight transition to becoming the city’s most advanced police district isn’t easy. Gideon knows that, if he’s going to change anything, he needs help. He finds this help in Detective Theresa Murphy (Natalie Martinez). She’s an ambitious, street-smart cop who’s willing to give Reeves’ technological changes a chance.
Skeptical Captain Ned Conrad (Ernie Hudson), Officer Nicholas Brandt (Taylor Handley), and Officer Tasha Goss (Tamberla Perry) are going to be a bit harder to convince.
With the help of Reeves’ gifted tech officer, Ada Hamilton (Caitlin Stasey), Reeves and Murphy embark on a mission to turn the 13th District into a dedicated crime-fighting force of the 21st century.
Episode #12 — Ricochet
When Gideon is blamed for recent terrorist attacks, he and Captain Conrad work fast to track down the real culprit. But Gideon finds himself in a predicament when Danny continues to use his technological skills to disrupt the city, leaving Murphy, Ada and the rest of the squad struggling to find a way to stop him. Discover who makes it out alive.
First aired: April 24, 2017.
What do you think? Do you like the APB TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Fox shows its ignorance again by cancelling a great show. APB was the best thing going on and again Fox gets stupid. When will they learn! Won’t be watching Fox anymore.
bring back APB great show
I think apb is a very entertaining show. Being cancelled is just another reason not to watch fox.
I love this show it had me hooked on the firs episode once you keep watching you just cant stop wanting more and see mroe of what might come and the new challenges they face. I wish the police operated like they do efficiently. bring it back
Bad idea FOx. Turning into that kind of network. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
They also cancelled Rosewood…. I just don’t get why good shows are cancelled… quit bouncing times they are on around and give these quality shows a chance. Loved APB Loved Rosewood
PLEASE renew APB. I look forward to watching this show every week. At least try it in a different time slot or night. With all the junk out there, this is a good cop show
renew, great show
FOX MUST B OUTTA THEIR MINDS!!! OH HOLY COW BULLWINKLE!! I VERY VERY MUCH ENJOYED THE PROGRAM I WAS WISHING EVERY WEEK THAT IT WAS 2 hours instead of 1!! The impressive use of new gadgetry really made the program seem almost believable in our High Tech society! Come on FOX u R wiping out 2 many of the shows that I enjoy? Like APB and Rosewood! But yet they are adding another stupid cooking show with Gordon Ramsey called the F word?? He needs 2 go back 2 Nightmare Kitchens and Hell’s Kitchen!! Maybe CBS could use Ramsey in… Read more »
Good. Really great show!
OMG they cancel this. well some much for anything else on fox.
Love this show. I don’t understand why that would cancel IG. I hope Netflix will pick it up,please
Seriously they cancelled this show?? What the heck. It is a great show. Lethal weapon should be canceled before APB.
APB should be renewed. It is a good show. Please reconsider renewing.
APB was a good drama cop show plus high tech cool stuff to separate it from the brainless alternatives of other shows we get stuck watching.
This show is wow. Never miss it. Hope Fox is smart enough to hold on to it. Talented actors, great story line, and chemistry off the chart!
