Is this the sunset of the Age of Aquarius? The word from NBC is that the Aquarius TV show is more likely to be cancelled than renewed for a third season. John McNamara’s police thriller-drama stars David Duchovny, Emma Dumont, Gethin Anthony, Grey Damon, Emma Claire Holt, Ambyr Childers, Madisen Beaty, Cameron Deane Stewart, Michaela McManus, and Brian F. O’Byrne.
Earlier this week, we reported Aquarius, season two, was being moved from Thursday to Saturday, beginning August 27, 2016. According to TV Line, when NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke was asked about the chance of the network renewing Aquarius for season three, she said, “I think that’s tough.”
During the TCA 2016 Summer press session, Salke confirmed McNamara’s news about the show moving nights, as was done in the first season. TV Line reports she also stressed the second season will air, saying, “David and the talent are really important to us, and we’ll continue to support the show wherever we put it. We do have to make some schedule changes, but the show’s not being pulled off the schedule.”

A SHAME this cool show was cancelled! I’m a bit weary of more ‘X-Files’ after all this time so Duchovny in ‘Aquarius’ was refreshing! Oh well. How I deeply WISH there was a ‘magic’ channel where all cancelled shows that still had at least barely moderate ratings(but still liked) could go to…’Extant’…’Witches of East End’…’The Lottery’…and let’s even go back and get ‘Angel’!:)

Love this show. It’s so unique in a sea of copycat sequel-type shows that are being recycled from decades previous. The storyline is engaging and the acing is phenomenal. It deserves to come back.
Really loved the show even got my husband watching it. So disappointed it was canceled. We are still hoping Netflix picks it up
Show is fabulous a real look at the social scene of the sixties and seventies!! Love David Duchovny in this series it can it be cancelled
I think that it would be a big disappointment if the show would be pulled as it would leave the many fans hanging and at the worst possible time. We saw the part we were waiting on. The killings ended last season and we at least deserve to see that wrapped up.

I’ve been a huge fan of the show, having lived during that time. I recall vividly the news reports and other events, attitudes, etc, and it brings back the cold chills with each news report. But more than that, David Duchovny and the rest of the cast are excellent, attitudes and behaviors are spot-on. It’s also fascinating to see the behind the scenes stories we weren’t aware of at the time. It takes me back to the fears I felt each night when I got off work at the hospital. Do not cancel-great show! Move it back to original time slot! NBC-I will ban you.
Don’t cancel, compelling characters and interesting blend of true story events with fictional story lines. I need to see this play out even though I know how it goes down.
Love the show season 1 and 3, love David all of the actors are great in their roles, such a same but not NBC’s first they are good at axing a show that is good and keeping something stupid.
