Though it was still performing well, it looked like Army Wives was going to be cancelled last year. Lifetime brought it back but with some cast changes. Will the new stories and characters be well-received by fans or is it time for the venerable drama to say goodbye? We’ll have to wait and see.
Army Wives typically airs on Sunday nights and Lifetime has ordered 13 episodes this time (vs 23 last season). The cast includes Catherine Bell, Terry Serpico, Brooke Shields, Brian McMamara, Kelli Williams, Wendy Davis, Sterling K. Brown, Alyssa Diaz, Joseph Julian Soria, Torrey DeVitto, Burgess Jenkins, Ashanti, Joshua Henry, Elle McLemore, and Jesse McCartney.

What do you think? Do you still like the Army Wives TV series? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for an eighth season?
I love Army Wives – plain and simple! It took me a while to used to the new characters, but I am there now and want it to continue. A shame this season is only planned for 13 episodes.
A fan from Jerusalem, Israel
I think it is time to play a farewell to Army Wives…Roxy, Pamela, Trevor, Claudia Joy (killed off) are all gone. Denise is the only one left (with Roland and Joan-they are not even star players anymore which I really miss)…storylines are weak and this new group seems to be “trying” too hard. If anything, I think Catherine Bell should leave and find another show where she can showcase her talents more. Army Wives had a good run but now I say it is time to retire. It’s just not the same with the original tribe.
now that the walking dead has ended its season army wives is improving in the ratings. i think the season should be longer than 13 episodes and the new characters bring some freshness to the show. i always thought claudia joy was a bore and her lips looked bloated so, i don’t miss her at all. looking fo.rward to brooke shields coming on the show
Army wives use to be my favorite show but when ms.delany left the show I was that sad because, she one and only reason why I watch from the being now the she is gone and they have change everything its no point in watching they need to cancel the show sorry once like the show now bye bye.
Army wives is my favorite show and would be crushed if cancelled. Performances this year by Catherine Bell, Brian McNamara, and Katelyn Pippy have been outstanding; I do believe as they get through referring to CJs passing it will improve markedly. The new cast additions will give the show new story lines and am look forward to viewing. In addition, AW ran up against Basketball finals, and The Bible which didn’t help.
Please don’t cancel – I know there have been a lot of changes this season with cast & I never get why they don’t give a show a chance before deciding to axe it. I love Army Wives and it’s one of the best realistic TV shows! Let’s have a Season 8!!
Please don’t cancel it. As much as I’m going to miss the old cast, I really think the new characters are coming together much like the original ones did. I think they need a chance to show what they’ve got and continue on with the show!
I really liked the old army wives Trevor and roxy ecspecially! I think if viewers don’t go with the changes it’s better off canceled which I hate to say that because its a great show just loosing alot of good characters …. Don’t get me wrong the drama still keeps me watching but just not the same!
Claudia Joy wasn’t my favorite character (part of the reason is I have a hard time looking at these women with “duck lips”) so I’m OK with what happened. I really miss Pam and Roxy. I wasn’t sure I was going to like the new cast but so far they are OK. I wish the Holly character would take off those ridiculous glasses – they are distracting. Overall, I’m willing to give this season a chance. It seems like the producer are aiming for a younger demographic so I don’t know if I’ll want to keep watching it. I say… Read more »
Cancel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that they have changed all the characters and most of all Claudia Joy is gone! She was the rock of the show and it will never be the same without her.
Do not cancel. One of the best shows on tv with a lot of subjects that touch the heart and it’s clean and not sleezy like some of the other shows. Really upset that Claudi Joy died on the show though. She was the HEART of the show. She kept eveyone in line when times were tough.

what was the name of the army wife who just passed away?
This has been a favorite for a long time. I love the characters, but I will have to wait and see how the dynamic of the new comers will play out! I think that the ratings could have been low because many viewers thought the series had ended and there wasn’t a lot of advanced advertising for this season as in previous seasons. I really hope that the new characters and plot will get a chance to play itself out fairly.
Can we at least see some of season 7 before making a decision to cancel. Many viewers don’t know that it is back.
Please don’t cancel….I did not know it has started up again and will look forward to viewing the show!
