TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
Please reconsider cancelling Battle Creek. It’s offbeat, funny, smart, and has the right ingredients for a modern day dramedy.
Great show with unusual characters who don’t evolve in the usual cliched ways. Seems the good ones are always the first to go, leaving mostly mediocre dross and mind-numbing “reality” shows in great abundance.
CBS – Cancel another show, but not this one. It grows on you! Good chemistry among characters.
Please don’t cancel Battle Creek. It is a fun show and a nice change. Every time I find a show worth watching it gets cancelled. That’s why I don’t like to watch television series.
Battle Creek should NOT have be cancelled. Given the current programing that either recycles the same stale plots or is meant to appeal to the average 5th grader, something fresh and fun — like Battle Creek — is a real treat. Too bad that not enough of the public is watching TV in real ‘program’ time, rather than bingeing on mulitple episodes. Networks need to modify the way that their ratings are affecting programing. Most people I know don’t watch TV in real time, but on their own schedule based on their availability. This means that good inventive programing is… Read more »
Please don’t cancel this show. Sometimes it takes awhile to review all the new shows in a timely manner before you can settle on one. I discovered Battle Creek using On Demand and now I am a fan.
Battle Creek is one of my favorite shows. I hope who ever makes these decisions rethinks this one. Are these the same great minds that are bringing back Extant? If CBS cancels this show hope one of the other station will pick it up, I don’t think you gave it a chance.
My husband and I really enjoy this show. I think the show should be given at least another season to help it catch on. When people realize this is a QUALITY show unlike some of the other ones that keep getting renewed, I’m sure it will catch on. The dynamics between the leads, the romantic connection, the other cast members are all very entertaining.
please don’t cancel this show, it’s better than a lot of junk out there
Battle Creek is a really good series, and my wife and I really enjoy it. I can not believe that CBS is canceling this show… It has comedy and suspense…
please don’t cancel the show, it is better than a lot of junk out there
I think Battle Creek is a very entertaining “cop” show, CBS should have given it one more year.
I think Battle Creek should be given at least one more year. It is not the best show but it by far not the worst. No killing just a good show
Why cancel a great show and keep the crappy ones? CBS needs to wise up..
Great Show.
