TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
Networks renew series of mindless self-serving celebrities and you leave on series of table tossing backbiting and gossiping women but you cancel any series that is different and thoughtful that doesn’t have nudity or car crashes. How about bringing up the standards of entertainment. Do not cancel Battle Creek!
Please don’t cancel Battle Creek!!!!
The characters are wonderful! I’m interested in how this plays out! Damn it, quit dropping shows because they aren’t as high I. The ratings at that moment as you want. These are great characters, flawed, capable, interesting. Let them grow. I’m so mad at good shows being dropped!!!! I really like this show.
Leave it be.
Please do not cancel Battle Creek. Love this show
Don’t cancel!
It’s a good show. Not too heavy with the drama, and technical jargon. Very enjoyable. Very disappointed that CBS would cancel this show. Maybe another chance should be given?
Come on CBS! To cancel a program before its last three episodes even appear in its
first season is UNFAIR to all involved including the AUDIENCE!
Yeah, the “Syruptitious” plot was hokey. But the season plots picked up rapidly after that.
Mixing some humor with hardline police story lines make for a new twist on the other police TV shows.
Just when you get a good series worth watching you pull it. Why don’t you place it on FOX, they know how to handle these shows. Your polls are not directed to your audience but to your advertisers who most of the time don’t know what they doing.
I don’t understand how a show can be cancelled in one season. The dynamics of the characters is so funny. This is the one show my husband and I ALWAYS watch together. Hopefully another network will pick-up where CBS left off.
Please un-cancel it.
Please don’t cancel Battle Creek. It’s so refreshing after so many CSI’s, Vampires, Law& orders – we need more shows like B.C and less mindless junk that’s on way too many channels no
Please bring this program back. The cast and characters along with the plots make for great entertainment. Our family looks forward to each episode and is disappointed with the network’s decision to cancel this program. Canceling Battle Creek just as it’s momentum is increasing is robbing your viewers of what they crave…great entertainment…and CBS is aborting a budding powerhouse success.
Please don’t cancel this show. Give it another chance!!! Come on guys.
I can’t believe Battle Creek has been cancelled. It was just beginning to reach it’s stride. In order to get to know the characters on new show, it takes a few episodes. Please reconsider keeping Battle Creek in the CBS lineup. I think we have only just begun to scratch the surface on the lives of each of the actor’s characters–we have just begun to get to know them. It can only get more interesting.
Why did you cancel the best new show on television? I may as well throw my TV away. Please, please, please bring it back.
I wish CBS would reconsider keeping Battle Creek. It was billed as a crime drama but it’s not. It’s a dry dark comedy, the way Milt and Russ play off each other. CBS marketed the show wrong, why should the show pay for executive’s mistakes?
