TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
I’m agreeing with Sandy – Are our pleas going to the “powers that be” to keep Battle Creek on the air? It’s entertainment – not smut, silly, racial, or for the crazies – Don’t cancel the one show that we wait for week in and week out. Who else can we make our case to? Please!!
This was a great show. What is the matter with you people????????????
Please save Battle Creek! I remember when someone’s wife saved Star Trek from cancellation after the first season and look what happened there! Battle Creek is a great show — love it! Hey, do you people have something against shows located in Michigan?
This is my favorite show. Please bring it back
My husband and I watch this faithfully. Very clever great characters and subtle shading. Soooo much more compelling than many other continuing shows that have much less entertainment value. Please do not cancel this show. And as suggested give it better time slot and more advertising. It is very unfair to so quickly and unceremoniously cancel a great show. Would indicate lack of concern for consumers’ wishes.
We really enjoy Battle Creek. It’s a much better show than Scorpion and CSI Cyber, so we can’t understand why it would be cancelled while they are renewed. Please consider renewing Battle Creek for another season.
Yes, please. This person speakers for more people than you realize. Thank you.
I think the plug was pulled way too early on this show! It is way more entertain than several shows still running!!!!
Please don’t cancel Battle Creek! It is my new favorite show! Canceling shows so quickly makes people want to not start watching a new show.
Amen to that!
Why do you always cancel good shows after one season. Battle Creek was one of the best new shows of the season. Please reconsider giving the show another chance. It was well written and funny. All the characters have layers that need to be peeled back.
I love this show. Please don’t cancel it!
Please don’t cancel. The program is quirky with likable characters – I love Russ. The program hardly has prime time exposure at 10 pm on a Sunday and absolutely no advertising about when it’s on. Do you think maybe that is why it doesn’t have great ratings?
I really enjoy the characters of Battle Creek and am very disappointed it is cancelled.
That CBS has decided to cancel Battle Creek leave a sour taste in my mouth. This series started off shakily, but as the episodes progressed everything came together neatly. This is not the first time a show has been deep-sixed, but this untimely death is galling to say the least. To my mind the last few episodes were well-written, well-acted by a cast of human and humane characters, and opened a new understanding of the people who serve their fellow citizens. Now we must wait with bated breath for Supergirl and Something with a Screwy Angel. Can’t wait for that… Read more »
Absolutely right!
But we do need executives
To have shows.
but it would have a kinder to US if we had a little more warning so we could have said something Sooner.
This is a show that should not be cancelled. It’s a show I look forward to seeing every Sunday. The show with all its’ characters have developed in such an interesting manner , I look forward to My Sunday evening with them.
Ditto that!
I am wondering if all these comments are sent to the “powers that be.”
I hope someone from the “powers that be” sees these comments. I enjoy seeing the posts everyday. I know this is a good show. Glad so many others agree! Don’t cancel this show !
My entire family watch this show. Another good show hits the dust. Bring it back.
