TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
Don’t cancel. Please bring Battle Creek back!
Great show! Original, funny, great mix of characters, loads of character development potential, good plot lines, come on……..don’t cancel it!
Please RENEW this show!!!! For ONCE, a show with great visuals, strong cast (could use a strong woman or two but otherwise…), good storylines…DON’T CANCEL IT!!!
Sometimes a show takes a season to find its footing, and its audience. This show received very little promotion, why? Where was the social media presence?
Give it another chance, guys, renew it, and keep those good writers, great cast, crew…and add a bigger social media presence. You’ve got a hit on your hands.
Please renew! My husband and I really have enjoyed this series.
Leave it to me to start getting interested in a TV series that isn’t too politically correct and CBS cancels it.
Here’s a suggestion Moonves: Cancel the “D” political cheerleaders on CBS This Morning and renew Battle Creek.
Please please please CBS, if you read this stuff, renew Battle Creek. It has a really great cast and inventive plots. The character development defies formula. I really want to know these people a lot better. So, show some class and bring this show back.
This is so disappointing. Battle Creek is a great new show. The cast intermingles so well, Josh Duhamel’s class and Dean Winters’ crass is so entertaining. As well as the cast of characters. Please reconsider this decision. I agree, it has not been given a chance to click. People are still morning the Mentalist’s time slot. Give it a chance.
Actually really began to enjoy show, premises may be common but it had started to flesh out and thought he had been going in good direction. The network keeps inane stupid comedies that arefoodfor morons and anything that might take some thought gts flushed in one season I’m switching networks
Watching the series finale and wondering how family guy gets renewed by fox and how great Battle Creek is and gets cancelled. Idiots
Another good one cancelled! Not even given a chance to gain an audience. All my friends watch this show and are upset by the cancellation.
I have enjoyed this show from the beginning. At first it was so quirky that it intrigued me. Then I found that the stories always had so many nuances and the resolution was not as straightforward as stories tend to be these days. Rather, the writers took the viewer down what turned out to be intriguing blind alleys which really engaged me as the viewer. It is so rare these days to come upon a series with such interesting stories each week. I will miss seeing the characters develop as I am sure they would have, given the fact that… Read more »
CBS can’t believe you didn’t give this show a better shot a picking up viewers. YOU SUCK
Please don’t cancel!
Loved this show! So sad is has been cancelled!!!! Stories have been great and actors are my faves!!!! What is wrong with CBS?
So you’ve done it again CBS. Canceled a greatly entertaining series after one season. Don’t think I’ll watch anything new from your network. If it’s any good it will be yanked before its given an opportunity to succeed.
