TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?

I am frustrated because this wonderfully entertaining show was cancelled after 13 shows. Battle Creek wasn’t even given a chance to finish the season. Had it ran it’s full course, some of the episodes would have gone into late spring, after other shows wrapped for the season. I thought I would have plenty on time to watch it again, and agin, but it was taken off the air without the possibility for me to see the original episodes., and support my new obsession. Battle Creek should run over the summer, I think the network should rerun the original 13 episodes.… Read more »
My sentiments EXACTLY !!!
My husband & I have really looked forward to watching this fresh, entertaining show. Cant believe it would be cancelled after only one season. Think it needs to be renewed and given a more popular time slot for a wider audience!
It is obvious TV caters to the dumbdown people who are unable to handle any shows that are realty or comedies with a laugh track. Very sad.
I do not think Battle Creek should be cancelled.
I think some shows need more than one season before they get a solid fan base. In the past new shows were given chances; there were some that became big because the network didn’t run when there was a weak showing the first season. This could affect other CBS’s shows on Sunday night, like Madam Secretary, which I really was enjoying, but now that Big Brother leads into it, I forget to watch or have gotten involved in another show. The viewing audience for those shows are not going to be at the same level. Maybe some viewers were disappointed… Read more »
We really need this show especially on Sunday…. fresh funny and very human!
Definitely not cancelled. My family and I have been watching it from day one and we all have really enjoyed it. There is so much other garbage on tv that should be cancelled and you choose to cancell this?? I just don’t understand. I wish someone would over ride this decision and at least give it another season.
best new show – I will just cancel CBS
love this show….CBS keeps big brother on but cancels a great new show like battle creek
My husband and I were instant fans of this show, with some of the cleverest writing on TV today. The characters were perfectly cast and the storylines interesting, funny and even poignant. It’s absurd that it would be canceled before it had a chance to build an audience.
Could not have put it better. Too bad that the power in charge couldn’t recognize a good and intelligent show if their lives depended upon on it. And it should depend upon them because they need to be fired.
Why canceled???? This was an both an intelligent and shot’em up show. It combined both aspects very, very well! I noticed it was canceled because after no longer finding it under the On Demand menu. I like to watch the episodes again because the second time through, one would catch even more of the intrigue and humor which ONLY made it that much better! If this comment is seen by someone at CBS please realize that for every one positive comment there are at least one hundred positive people who haven’t commented. Please, please, please, reconsider and pick up season… Read more »
I loved the show…you list it here as a drama but I loved its’ comedic moments! Put it back on!
I liked the series – not great theater but entertaining, what I pay to experience. Thought it worthy of another season.
Great show, stumbled upon it and was instantly addicted Now have a reason to stay up on Sunday evening Talk about a diverse cast of characters–lotsa fun
Battle Creek is one of the best TV shows. I cannot believe it is cancelled. Most TV shows speak to the mindless masses. Then we get Battle Creek which is so subtlety acted. It is like a breath of fresh air after all the stupid reality shows and stupid comedy shows that need a laugh track to pretend they are funny. Battle Creek had smart writers and great actors who are proof that idiotic and inane TV shows are not what everyone wants. Please don’t cancel it. There are too many reality and “not” funny comedy shows and not enough… Read more »
I agree with you. Your email says it all
Cancelled!?! This is one of the best shows on TV!!! Come on CBS, you keep crap like Big Brother running for far too long and cut good shows like Battle Creek without even giving it a chance. Why aren’t “real viewers” ever asked which shows to keep and which ones to cancel? Start monitoring peoples DVR’s, maybe then you’ll get a clue! Hopefully HBO or TNT will pick it up. NBC, here come.
