TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
This is a great show and series with a balance of crime solving, humor, and interesting characters. It needs to be promoted more to increase viewership and interest. Its so refreshing with it humor variations, its mystery, and its crime solving techniques. We would hate to see this show cancelled without really having a chance to continue and attract more viewers.
Have Josh or Dean go on ELLEN to promote it!!! Come on Detroit and all of Michigan…tune in!
I am a loyal fan of the show. I like the characters because they are written to be good, nice, honest, ethical people. Please don’t cancel it.
Love this show! Please do not cancel it.
Great show! I love Dean Winter’s character. So funny and the show is quite creative. Please renew it.
LOVE LOVE this show. Josh and Dean are great as are the rest of the cast. It is different and should not be cancelled. If Parks and Recreation stayed on for as long as it did I thought it was dumb) this should certainly be given a chance. Glad they are moving it to a new night. How many NCIS shows can you have CBS???
Love the show great combination of angst and humor
Please give it at least another season. It’s a fun Sunday night show.
Love love love this show…very well written
This show is different. Give it a chance. Seems cbs always cancels the different cop shows or legal shows. Don’t. Love Josh & Dean-
Great chemistry – renew the show!
Best combination of humor and grit on TV. Love this show!
Absolutely should be renewed! I don’t miss an episode!
Good dry humor, our favorite kind. The people writing the show do a great job. We’d love to see it renewed. Not many shows worth watching but this is one of them
This show is great! Cant say enough good things about it…but here goes…Great dialogue, dry humor, connection great with the actors, most of the plots are good which is more than I can say for over 1/2 the shows on TV. This is one show everyone in my household likes. We all laugh and are entertained by it. Drama and humor in one program is great! Please renew for another year!!!! Thank You
Renewed. It’s great and hysterically funny. Dry humor – beautifully done.
This is one of the better shows on CBS. Hopefully it will be around for a while…really enjoy watching this show.
I so love this show and hope you bring it back – PLEASE don’t cancel it!!
