TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.

Should’ve kept it! Good show, good characters. Enjoyed the mix of serious procedural with comic personalities. Can’t believe I’ve lost this AND Fox’s “Backstrom”!

I agree with you 100%, so much better than some of the shows they leave alone. I also can see they did not advertise hardly at all, if anything. When I saw the name “Battle Creek” one evening, I thought it was maybe about a civil war show but decided to have a look at it, and of course loved it. I hope they bring it back with a heck of a lot more publicity.
I absolutely loved Battle Creek, thought the characters were great also the storylines. Why was it cancelled and can it please come back?
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL BATTLE CREEK! I love this show. I just went through the list of canceled shows and was completely discouraged over a number of shows, like Stalker, but this was the worst. I loved the characters and the way they interacted, especially Josh Duhamel. What a pity.
CBS could use a few program consultants who select content for more than the pre-pubescent market.
My wife and I enjoyed this show. Very disappointed it was canceled. Please give it another try

I was very dissapointed that this show did not get renewed. With so many other shows that are just copies of original shows ( think NCIS New Orleans, LA or all the CSI ripoffs ) why is the one original idea with a great cast and stories not picked up. No wonder people are turning to Netflix and other alternative channels. Maybe we can talk them into picking it up

I just saw a list of programs that CBS is bringing back in the fall. After announcing that Stalker was cancelled they are bring it back. Battle Creek is better than Stalker and has more potential. I just returned from Europe and Battle Creek is airing over there. Stalker isn’t. Also, CBS could have rerun Battle Creek this summer and instead they run CSI New Orleans or other shows that I am tired of watching. My husband & I really liked this show; I don’t think they gave it a good enough chance to get established. it seems like they cancel the really good shows; that they should keep on-and instead keep adding on all of this junk they like to call; “reality T.V. I’m sure given the chance; Battle Creek would have developed a following & fan base. I also hope another network has some sense & picks it up; because it is well worth watching!!!
I agree with you Terry. I detest ‘reality t.v.’ which seems like the only thing producers want to do. Mindless and inexpensive. And they wonder why everyone turns to cable viewing. SMH
I don’t watch much TV at all! I did love this show. It was well written and acted. I can NOT believe they are canceling this show. I watched or recorded every episode. So much junk is on TV and they cancel a good show like this!
