TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
KEEP…. Terrible time slot, the show is great.
This is it for me with your network! Every time I get into a show…boom! You cancel it! Yet, you keep tired, old shows like Criminal Minds, Two Broke Girls ( most mind numbing of all), and now another NCIS! Where is the imagination? Battle Creek was the most refreshing show to hit your network since Vegas…also cancelled. If the viewers didn’t like it, perhaps it’s because they are as moronic as the heads of your network? Adios CBS. I’m off to greener pastures where they recognize a hit show when they get one. Sincerely, Cathy Turnerhttps://www.facebook.com/Kennedy.USMC/posts/858637350873963
Renew! One good show.
We really enjoy “Battle Creek”. Figures it’s getting cancelled. Finally have a fun/funny cop show and it gets dropped. A better time slot would have helped the ratings.
RENEW
our whole family loved battle creek and strongly protest its cancellation. it was a well written show with characters that you cared about & a plot that kept you interested. why are networks always so quick to cancel promising new series without giving them a chance to find their audience?. I guess it is so they can leave on their “reality” shows & what passes for comedies. we say–long live milt & russ!.
Overtime from NHL games screwed this program : Give it a new time slot and it will take off. Great show with interesting stories.
It is a great show (1 of the best on TV) with an awesome cast that I have really grown to enjoy watching in the short time they have been on. I can’t believe they have been cancelled
I don’t think cbs has cancelled this show. Maybe they actually listened to viewers.
Battle Creek is one of the best shows on tv right now. I can’t believe it might be canceled. Please reconsider. A loyal fan.
RENEW!!!!!!!!!
TOOOOOOOOOOOOO late people CBS cancelled it! And Stalker, which is another show I liked!
I really love this show. The characters really work together, all of them. I hope this show stays on, it is one of my new favorite shows.
To quote Milt: “We love this place”! We are very hopeful this show will continue….
Battle Creek is one of our favorite shows on TV. I combines humor with interesting police cases a developments. I would be a great pity to cancel it! We love watching crime shows that have an element of humor. Perhaps a different time slot? A tie-in with NCIS would be great: Perhaps NCIS might need to investigate something that happened at he Great Lakes Naval Training Center?
Great show! It is in a terrible time slot and seems to get bumped a lot by previous show and my DVR wasn’t catching all of it until I changed record time. I hope it sticks around for a while. More people need to see it. Good cast too. Enjoyed CSI (original), but this has more humor.
Battle Creek has developed into a great show. I wasn’t sure after the first episode, but the stars have developed a great rapport and it is fun to watch. It needs to be renewed. Maybe throw in a tie-in episode with NCIS New Orleans let more people know about it.
That’s a great idea! NCIS & Criminal Minds have both done tie-ins with shows other than their own spin-offs, so why not with Battle Creek? All it needs is for more people to discover it in its dreadful time slot.
