With a great lead-in, Beauty and the Beast has the best chance of any new CW show this season of getting solid ratings. Will it survive or, like last year’s Secret Circle, or will it be cancelled?
Following a young beautiful homicide detective and her handsome-yet-scarred protector, Beauty and the Beast typically airs Thursday nights on The CW network. The cast includes Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan, Nina Lisandrello, Brian White, Max Brown, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Austin Basis.

Year-to-year, compared to The Secret Circle’s premiere in the same post-Vampire Diaries timeslot, the network was down by 8% in the demo (vs a 1.3 rating) and down 8% in viewership (vs 3.05 million). While these numbers were still very good, Beauty and the Beast won’t survive if its numbers fall like Secret Circle’s did.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Please, don’t cancel this show! BATB is the best show ever! It has gotten so intense! I just want this epic love story to continue for many, many seasons. The chemistry between Jay Ryan and Kristen Kreuk is off the charts. They bring Vincent and Catherine to life! I’m begging, please, do not cancel this show. I would be heartbroken, as I know all of the fans of the show would feel the same! Please, at least give it another season to show just what it can do. Give it a chance, please!!!!

I love this show we are fighting to get another season, we have a great cast, the leads have incredible chemistry, the rest of the cast and crew are dedicated to the show and promote on twitter Austin Basis(JT) is our King Beastie. The designers of the show are also involved on twitter they are so welcoming to the fans. We have fans all over the world. I think with a little more promotion from The CW this show can go a long way!Please give BATB a Second Season!
Agreed- CW needs to promote BATB more- sometimes I get the feeling that CW does not stand behind its shows. I heard about BATB from my daughter. Buzz is good but like other networks do- STAND behind your shows C!!!! BATB is a GREAT show it needs more than one season!!!
As an international viewer I would be absolutely devastated if this show was cancelled. I know the rights to the show have only just been purchased for Australia, and we need the chance to make it huge. Australia has a large representation of Beasties now and we haven’t even had the show here air yet. Please give it a chance. The cast are fantastic, the chemistry between them is amazing – and I am not just talking about Jay and Kristen, but everyone on the show. Love Beauty and the Beast….but….my problem is that I like Person of Interest too! So I have to altenate and catch the other on Hulu. Please change the night to another night other than Thursday. Wednesday is a pretty slow night for my favorites!

I haven’t felt this giddy about the chemistry between two characters (Vincent and Cat) and just the overall chemistry between the entire cast in a long time. They need a Season 2.

Love this show. Wish the stations would stop canceling shows before they give them a real chance to be noticed. This Show is awesome.
It’s an enjoyable show and I hope it gets picked up for a second season to see where they can take it. It’s a shame they cancel shows too quickly before they have a good chance to attract viewers. I vote for another season for Beauty and the Beast. I love the actors and the characters they play.
