With a great lead-in, Beauty and the Beast has the best chance of any new CW show this season of getting solid ratings. Will it survive or, like last year’s Secret Circle, or will it be cancelled?
Following a young beautiful homicide detective and her handsome-yet-scarred protector, Beauty and the Beast typically airs Thursday nights on The CW network. The cast includes Kristin Kreuk, Jay Ryan, Nina Lisandrello, Brian White, Max Brown, Nicole Gale Anderson, and Austin Basis.
Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Beauty and the Beast will be cancelled or renewed for a second season.

Year-to-year, compared to The Secret Circle’s premiere in the same post-Vampire Diaries timeslot, the network was down by 8% in the demo (vs a 1.3 rating) and down 8% in viewership (vs 3.05 million). While these numbers were still very good, Beauty and the Beast won’t survive if its numbers fall like Secret Circle’s did.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

Love this show!
This show is great !!! it’s different and unique in its own way . love the cast and the story line .
I love the show and the chemistry between Vincent and Catherine. What I appreciate is that I can allow my teenage daughter to watch without worrying about the content. We all need a hero and a feel-good story and this is one of those. I look froward to each weeks episode and re-watch the older ones
I love this show so much.
It hasn’t arrived yet to Israel on screen but I watching it on the web.
I really hope that will be another season.
I absolutely love this show. I really hope it is renewed and quickly. I would be so disappointed.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show!!! Thursday nights are my favorite because this is on. It’s different and not super violent like the other shows now a days. There is violence yes but in comparison to other shows its no where near as bad. It’s refreshing. I love the characters and the actors chosen for the roles are perfect. I am always wanting more when an episode ends. I am really hoping for a second season!!!
Loooovvvee this show! Thursday is my fav night of the week! Really hope ratings pick up for a second, third, etc season. Jay Ryan is the yummiest new face on tv since Ian Somerhalder – and the chemistry between Jay & Kristin makes for must see tv – IMHO! Can’t wait for the series to return after the holidays!
