Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
I am not a television person. I watch 2 shows a week. So imagine my surprise when I happened to catch the first episode of Believe and instantly became hooked. It is hard to find that quality of television these days. I feel that this is going to be a huge loss to the fans of the show. I also feel that DVR should be taken into account for the ratings. There are plenty of people, including myself, that work nights and have no other choice but to use DVR if we want to watch the shows we enjoy. I… Read more »
Hey, post your comments on NBC’s viewer panel site

I am not happy that they are cancelling the show Believe! Come on NBC you’ve been making some pretty stupid decisions lately!! Keep the show on.
We can’t watch NBC directly to view Believe we watch it on Hulu. Have not missed a show. NBC should recompute the number of watches to include all watching sources. I really enjoyed this show!
This show had promise and was well written and entertaining. NBC IS RUN BY BOZOS
I’m very disappointed that Believe was canceled. We really enjoyed watching Bo & Tate work things out, plus now finally, the father/daughter dynamics introduced.
So disappointed, I really liked this show A LOT!!! instead they will probably be replacing with ANOTHER reality or detective show, really!!!! This is a great family show.
I love the show. Bring it back please.
US TV Executives doing another Firefly. .
DVD sales will once again
show error of their ways
…look what Joss is doing now, but always says Firefly his best work.
BO best new character since Dexter…worth new series for both character and best young actor/actress performance in decades.
It’s so sad. I really like the show! It should come back!
I agree with the other comments. It`s a great show. The DVR viewings really need to be cinsidered. Its sad that the money dictates their choices and not what is quality television. I will watch all the last episodes live though to hopefully help save Believe!
This was one of my favorite shows. It was emotional, fun and suspenseful. Bo is adorable. What’s not to like? I DVR ALL my shows. I thought they were able to monitor DVR recordings and include them in the ratings. In this day and age, who has time to sit down and watch a show when it is actually on real time! Also, with the cloud type DVR’s, this should be a no-brainer for them to include in ratings.
Why it got cancelled? It is the best show at the moment on TV. I Hope the chanel change this crap decision!!!
TVguide.com is showing that the next ep will air May 25 so please everyone try to watch WHEN it is on LIVE and not just DVR it. It might make a difference. There are 4 eps to air still so lets hope we get to see them all and maybe they won’t cancel it afterall if enough people watch and keep asking for them not to cancel. Please go to Twitter, look up NBC Believe and post on the page #bringbackbelieve
It couldn’t hurt. They need to know how many of us love this show. Thanks everyone!
Having to watch something live just shows how much the TV execs are living in the dark ages.. DVRs are here to stay and they need to be taken into account (the data is available from the companies that own the DVRs.. why not use it?). It use to be that they would let a show stay on for several years before canning it.. and some shows that started out with poor ratings went on for more than a decade (Cheers and Happy Days come to mind). With all the competition from cable (look at the number of hits USA… Read more »
I’m so disappointed. This was one of the best family TV shows on. Please think about bringing it back.
