Bo has some amazing abilities but unfortunately they didn’t help save her series. NBC has cancelled the Believe TV show after one season.
Believe revolves around a young girl who has special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The series got off to a positive start, thanks to its premiere airing on a Monday night after NBC’s top-rated show, The Voice. Unfortunately only about 60% of that episode’s audience decided to tune in to watch the second episode six days later.
The ratings kept falling lower each week. This week’s installment of Believe drew just a 1.0 demo rating with 4.33 million viewers. Those numbers were just too low to justify ordering a second season.
On the positive side, it appears that NBC plans to order all of the remaining four episodes.
What do you think? Are you sorry that Believe hasn’t been renewed for a second season?
Its too bad NBC is cancelling this show. I enjoyed it alot. If another network picks it up I will be changing to that network!!! Just saying NBC if you want loyal customers QUIT cancelling the good shows.
Believe was canceled because the show did not have well-known actors and was too racially diverse for which the American TV viewing audience, sub conscientiously, do not have a taste. Although Delroy Lindo is a seasoned actor, the role he portrayed was too much for the average American psyche most of whom are white Americans.
“PLEASE”, DO NOT CANCEL the Show “Believe”!!!
I think it is a Totally Amazing Program!!! It is one of the shows that I can not wait to see the next episode & hate to have to wait till the next week to see it!!! It has such a great story line & I love the actors!!! I love J.J. Abrams shows & are so disappointed some are being cancelled!!! Has a Petition been started yet about this show because I would love to sign it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE Bring it Back for Many More Seasons!!!
Your enthusiasm says it all! Most of all it emphasizes exactly how we all feel. You would think television networks would get it after all when there are so many people in favor of quality television with a storyline that we can invest our own imagination and enjoyment in. There is a reason we keep coming back week after week. NBC take heed to this. You are right on the money with your opinion!
I don’t get it. We all love super heros (xmen, arrow, avengers success prove it) but for some reason can’t keep a good show like heros, alphas, now believe on tv. Why? Would the network give these shows more of a chance if someone was voted off at the end of each episode or burst into song or gave another cast member a flower? I’m ready to stop watching TV altogether and just catch series on line once I can be assured they aren’t going to be canceled as soon as I become interested.
it was canceled because it was showing things that are happening in this time period with experiments and such .. so the secret organizations got a wee bit nervous .
I cant understand why “Believe” was cancelled. NBC exec’s dont give great new shows like this a chance. It has everything you want in a new series, great actors, scripts, shows like this and Resurrection, The Tomorow People, Intelligence, all very good, and better than most new films that come out these days. !
So sad to hear that NBC cancelled this show. This show pulled me in week after week and couldn’t wait for the following episode. I would DVR the show so I wouldn’t miss it. I wish NBC would reconsider.
I can’t believe the show has been cancelled. My husband and I watched all of the episodes and we even record them to watch them again or when we are together. It is a real shame that there will be no second season!!
That just really sorry as far as im concerned. I really loved having a decent show to watch on sunday night when nothing else was on. And i think it is a very good show and i hate to see it go. What are they gonna cancell next? I just dont get it,theres no drugs, gangs, violent kills,or vulgar language or sex, maybe thats what they would rather be watching like all the other shows. Just insane, come on nbc you are better than that i thought. My tv stays on channel 8 all the time period, i never change it so if… Read more »
I love this show and I am very disappointed its been cancelled!
I am sorry to hear that Believe has been cancelled. I thought it was if the best shows on tv! I watched this show right after resurrection.. or vice versa..either way I would dvr both shows and flipped coin that day to watch first…but either both shows were dvr just in case I couldn’t watch for unknown emergency .. which god bless no emergency ever happened during season… I honestly wished both shows were on ob different nights so I could watch right there …maybe I was hoping they would get rid one of those annoying reality shows like the… Read more »
Believe is the best tv show I have watched in years. Love Bo and the other characters. I’m hoping there will at least be a finale to wrap things up. I’m very disappointed about the cancellation.
There are very few TV shows that I enjoy watching these days. With my crazy work schedule and other family members to share the TV with, Believe has become the only show that I HAVE to watch. I often end up watching it on NBC’s website late at night and sacrifice valuable sleep time, that’s how much I enjoy it. I am DEVASTATED that it has been canceled.
Yes I am very upset and disappointed. Believe was my favorite show this year and it breaks my heart to hear it won’t be back on. The show has such potential. We don’t know half of what Bo can really do with her powers and it fascinating to see each week with what she is able to do. What I like most about Bo is that she will only use her ability for good purposes only. Please don’t take this show off the air.
Great show. I do not understand why they cancel only good shows
