TV show description:
This TV series revolves around an exuberant dreamer who always says “yes” and his overly responsible little sister. He moves in to help raise her five-year-old daughter. A comedy, it follows a pair of odd-couple siblings and their friends as they push each other out of their comfort zones and into real life.
Kate Fox (Dakota Johnson) always tried to follow the rules but found herself pregnant in college and dropped out before graduating. After the birth of her daughter, Maddie (Maggie Elizabeth Jones), Kate put her aspirations on hold.
She now works as a bar manager to make ends meet and is able to maximize her time with Maddie. Kate is overly prepared for every possible catastrophe — except for the arrival of her older brother, Ben.
Ben Fox (Nat Faxon) likes trouble a lot more than his sister does. He has an infectious energy that makes everyone want to follow him — specifically into any number of bad ideas. He’ll totally screw up their lives, but somehow, they’ll feel good about it.
Where Kate is all about planning and preparing, Ben is big on spontaneity and out-of-the-box ideas. The thing is, he’ll probably be a millionaire someday.
When Ben comes to crash on Kate’s couch for a few days, he finds a sad state of affairs. For the first time in their lives, Kate needs Ben’s help, and he’s determined to bring some much-needed chaos into her overly stable world.
He starts by looking after Maddie so that Kate can get back to making mistakes — especially since the one “real mistake” she made turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to her. Kate hopes to return the favor by seeing how she can bring her brother back to reality.
Ben’s partner-in-crime, Tommy (Echo Kellum), is always there to help with Ben’s crazy schemes. He worships Ben like a hero and nurses a serious crush on Kate.
Kate’s British best friend is BJ (Lucy Punch), a cocktail waitress at the bar. She’s an all-around hot mess who would do anything for Kate, even if it’s questionable or illegal.
Episode #16 — Ethics 101
Kate returns to college, determined to focus on her studies instead of boys this time around. Ben is excited to celebrate his two-month anniversary with girlfriend Vera.
First aired: Did not air in the US.
What do you think? Do you like the Ben and Kate TV series on FOX? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for another season?
Bring back this show!!!! I loved it!
This show was really really funny. Reality TV is awful, screaming chefs, bachelors and tiaras. I have had enough. This show was witty and did not leave you unhappy and upset when you turned it off and isn’t that what TV is for, entertainment. Keeping the Mindy Show..really? She is very unlikable and gross to watch for a multitude of reasons not excluding that she is not believable as a doctor. Ben and Kate were likable, great kid, and funny friends.
WHAT THE FOX? Give Ben & Kate a chance. We need more comedies as opposed to over inflated egos making people feel stupid in these realty tv shows. I didn’t care much for Kate but the other actors were great as well as the characters they played. It was entertaining but in true FOX fashion just when you start to get into one of their comedies & really like it they cancel it. Pull bk on the cooking shows & some of the “drama’s” & give us some haha for more than 2months please. BRING BACK BEN & KATE!
This is so very sad. This show was totally brilliant. The clearly improvised style of these actors made every “throw away” line into comedy gold. They had fantastic chemistry together. I truly hope that another network will snap up these actors so I can enjoy their performances in something else!
Sweet show. Sorry to see it go.
I absolutely love this show!!! I can’t believe it’s canceled. I looked forward to it every week. They pick The Mindy Project over this?? Stupid.
Son of a pitch. Every time I fall in love with a show they cancel it. Fox! For the love of mac n cheese DONT CANCEL BEN AND KATE, or you’ll force me and my family to boycott your freakin network. What the French toast you stupid network executives.
Funniest show I’ve seen in 10 years. I can’t believe people like Raising Hope more than this show.
Love the show will keep watching.

I don’t care what they do with this show. I watched it once and plan on not watching it again. IT’S NOT FUNNY.
So-so in first epy. I’ll give it another chance. Little girl may make the show with her older than five attitude.
