A disappointing start for NBC’s Bent. Both episodes were in fourth place in their timeslots, registering CW-level ratings. After just one night, Bent is the lowest-rated show on the network — with the exception of Saturday night’s all-but-officially-cancelled legal drama, The Firm.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Bent TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Great show! I love the whole cast and think they are interesting and very funny. I love Gary’s awkwardness and Clem’s just a riot. Great dynamic between “the crew”. Don’t cancel!
Great show. Even my husband likes it and he doesn’t usually like these kind of shows.
I love it. Don’t cancel it. Please!!!!!!
Renew!! Love, love, love this show! Not a weak link in the entire cast! Especially love David Walton and JB Smoove! Definitely deserves a second season in a decent time slot!!
PLEASE renew…. I really LOVE this show and the cast is simply fantastic 🙂
i love the show. it should definitely be renewed.
Wonderful, wonderful show. Give it a chance. AGAINST IDOL???? Come on!! Give it a shot. It’s great. The two leads are magnificent and Jeffrey??? Genius.
I sure hope they give it more time, it’s one of the most entertaining shows on TV right now.
This show is so well written. The characters are well-defined, interesting and likeable. I hate to see it end so soon. Try a better time slot. This might work well with Smash.
This show is great – NBC if you don’t keep it going you really do hate comedies and you love throwing away money on good shows you never intend to keep. Why do you have comedies I just don’t get it. You need to realize that people love to laugh! LAUGH! not watch stupid reality or ANOTHER CRIME drama – that is what the News is for.
NBC needs to give this show a season 2 sampling. This how they treat shows and they wonder why their core audience continue to fracture. No wonder cable is getting record rating. NBC no longer want to be innovative or have decent show that stimulate the mind in ways the other broadcast network can’t.
They want to make their brand trustworthy again. Show us that show with creative promise have more chances of continuity on your network. Instead of formula stuff like law/Order:SVU or Comedies past their prime like The Offfice.
I have enjoyed the episodes so far, and I discovered that the reviews of the show have been pretty positive. NBC does not seem interested in the show for some reason and is burning off the episodes in the toughest time slot on TV. How is a show going to succeed against Idol, Modern Family, and Criminal Minds? It isn’t, and that is a shame.
Renew, renew, renew……best new sitcom in years….
Bent is hilarious and I don’t see how people don’t agree. David Walton has a very natural comedic delivery (Ryan Reynolds without the “here’s my joke” facial expressions). Perfect Couples wasn’t given a fair chance either and it blows my mind that it was cancelled. Yet Whitney lasted for more than half an episode and that show is completely forced and unfunny. It seems as though different styles of sitcoms don’t make the cut. Everyone wants a show to fit into the cookie cutter Office/Parks & Rec format. Those are two excellent shows, but not every show needs to fit… Read more »
I loved the show!
How did NBC manage to make an Amanda Peet show so unpopular? A show with her should have been on a ratings level with CBS.
Maybe in 1999. She’s not popular anymore.
When Charlie Sheen, John Galecki, and other stars from the past can find new life and success, Amanda Peet should be able to benefit.
