Multiple sources are reporting the news that we all saw coming. Betrayal has been cancelled and won’t be back for a second season on ABC.
On Betrayal, the extra-marital affair of two professionals gets even more complicated when their families end up on the opposite sides of a murder trial. The cast includes Stuart Townsend, Hannah Ware, Henry Thomas, Chris Johnson, Wendy Moniz, Braeden Lemasters, Elizabeth McLaughlin, and James Cromwell.
The drama had poor ratings right from the start and then, the numbers got even worse in subsequent weeks. The finale registered just a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.3 million viewers.
Despite the dismal ratings, the network denied that the show had been cancelled. Thankfully, the last episode provided some measure of closure for the devoted fans who stuck with it.

I loved this show I can’t believe it is cancelled…why? I watched this show religiously every week and could wait for each week to come to see what was going to happen next. I am do bummed it got cancelled can’t the network bring it back for another season to see it the ratings go up?? It was my favorite show!

Whaaaaaat? I loved this show! It’s the only series that I’ve ever watched faithfully as an adult. I usually had to DVR it…but couldn’t wait to see what would happen next! Pleeeease ABC!!! Reconsider your decision!!!
What sad news. I waited every week for my fix watching all the characters, the complex relationships, the interstitial g setting I nuts, Nd good dialogue. Network TV’s days of producing entertaining drama ‘s so close to failure and definitely shortsighted. All those bottom-lined executives are so scared of losing, they feed us pablum, at a lower cost. ShAme on them. Bring Betrayal back for a second season or get USA to do it!!! Come on, USA, step up!!!
Wow! I just read Betrayal is not coming back for Season 2! What a shame!! I loved the show and there are so many others ABC can cancel that didn’t match with this one. What a shame… this is why I will stick with FOX and NBC; they listen to their viewers!
I just Googled Betrayal to see if it was coming back, and what a shock / disappointment to see it is not. It never fails. Every time we find a show we really like to watch, it gets cancelled. Just like Detroit 187.

omg do they not realize most people have busy lives and cant tune in to shows during airing! Geesh I just seriously watched this show start to finish on hulu! i am soooooo hooked on it! cant believe it got canceled! at least finish it off with her and jack! they were meant to be! so disappointed that the best freaking shows always get canceled leaving us with endless seasons of other ********!

I’m posting this now,after watching the last episode of Betrayal.And being left at the end with a scene that could go either way.I’m so gutted its not returning.Such a shame.
Sad to see the end of this show, it was captivating. Few American shows leave me wanting more, but betrayal did. I’m unsure what kind of shows appeal to the US audiences, but if they don’t like them, we don’t get them.
I also loved this show. Didn’t think I would but with the twists and turns – brilliant! I like that the writers tried to leave us with some endings BUT the final shot ‘who is it?’ Really annoying as the producers knew they weren’t going to do another series. It’s like reading abook with the final page missing! I will miss the series.

Why is it that when we get series in the UK from the states that didn’t work in the states but are loved here we lose out?
This is a great series and to not do a second season is downright criminal. There are so few shows now that you can leave you wondering after each episode and leave you wanting more…
