The Bloodline TV show on Netflix has not yet been cancelled or renewed for a third season. Co-creators Glenn Kessler, Todd A. Kessler, and Daniel Zelman have plans for five or six seasons, but right now, they are just waiting to hear on season season three.
The decision to cancel or renew Bloodline, starring Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, and Norbert Leo Butz, may well come down to costs.
The Hollywood Reporter says:
“There’s not much to say. The [second season] just launched on Friday (May 27) and Netflix is evaluating how it’s doing for them and it’s performing and are very hopeful that there will be a future as are we,” [Todd A. Kessler] says. He notes that a third season would be financially “challenged” by the end of Florida’s tax incentive but points out the show wasn’t set there for the tax breaks.
“We decided to set the show there and film the show there because it’s crucial to what the show is, not because of the tax incentive, but it does affect things financially for us and the show will be challenged because of that. It makes things more difficult,” he says. “We’re hoping there will be more to come.”

There just has to be a Bloodlines 3! I just found this show on Netflix this past week and since then I have watched both season and the ending of Season 2 just leaves you with so many questions about what will happen. There are so many ways they can add story lines to this show. Please find a way to bring this Bloodlines back for another season……..and another one….and another one! Netflix…..you struck GOLD with this show!
Carol I too just discovered Bloodline last week. Watchong season 2 and wantes to see the haps for 3 and looks like its in limbo. Bummer if so.
Please do not cancel Bloodline. It’s very well written and acted. I just love it and I cannot stop watching it….I wish it were more than 10 episodes per season

This is one of the few things on TV that my husband & I enjoy watching together. Hope there are more to come.

Bloodline got off to a slow start, but season two really spiced things up on several levels. It would be a shame and unsettling if the series is not renewed for at least one more season.

I must confess to being a bookish and big-small screen fan of the Kesslers’ masterful storytelling both in Bloodline and its predecessor Damages. Bloodline Season 1 was so strong and pushed so many limits as Lost did in its first season that in both cases Bloodline (& Lost) Season 2 as distinctly more dark, had to become multi-dimensional to achieve and maintain authenticity of the characters and hold what they hooked in me in Season 1. I watching bloodline and could not et a way from it it was very good
Bloodline is one of the best shows on TV. Cancellation would be a great disappointment. Hopeful that it will continue.
