Though it’s the least successful part of FOX’s Animation Domination block of shows and some viewers really don’t like it, FOX has decided to renew Bob’s Burgers for a second season. No word yet on how many episodes have been ordered but there are 13 episodes in season one. The finale is expected to air on May 22nd.
HOT FROM FOX…
FOX ORDERS UP A SECOND SERVING OF “BOB’S BURGERS”Animated Series Renewed for a Second Season
All-New Episode Airs Sunday, April 10, on FOX
Animation Domination newcomer BOB’S BURGERS has been renewed for a second season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.
“BOB’S BURGERS has proved to be a perfect neighbor to our slate of fan-favorite animated families this year,” said Reilly. “The series has found its own really unique, irreverent voice and is doing consistent business for us on Sundays, so we’re excited to serve up another season to the fans.”
The premiere of BOB’S BURGERS this year was the highest-rated new series debut on any network so far this season. The series currently ranks among the Top 10 programs this season among young men.
In the all-new “Burger War” episode, airing Sunday, April 10 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), BOB’s (H. Jon Benjamin) eccentric landlord, MR. FISCHOEDER (guest voice Kevin Kline), pays the family a visit to deliver some bad news. Bob’s rival across the street, JIMMY PESTO (guest voice Jay Johnston) of Jimmy Pesto’s Pizzeria, wants to take over Bob’s lease so that he can expand his gift shop. With little time and not enough money, the Belcher family must cook up some business or luck to save the restaurant.
BOB’S BURGERS follows a third-generation restaurateur as he runs his own burger joint with the help of his wife and their three kids. Bob has big ideas about burgers, condiments and sides, but only a few thoughts on customer service and business management. Despite his greasy counters, lousy location and occasionally spotty service, Bob is convinced his burgers speak for themselves. The animated series features the voice talents of H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal.
BOB’S BURGERS is a 20th Century Fox Television production. The series was created by Loren Bouchard. Bouchard and Jim Dauterive serve as executive producers and writers. What do you think? Glad to hear the TV show’s been renewed?

Bob’s Burgers is hilarious!!!! Watch the show every week and cracks me up! Even though I haven’t watched Family Guy for a while, the big bang one was really funny. American Dad is awesome. But I never really got the Cleveland Show. After 22 seasons, Sinpsons is now a sloppy mess.
I LOVE THIS SHOW! Literally the funniest thing I’ve ever seen…I have never laughed out loud so much while watching tv. I’m so glad it was renewed, I hope other people can give it a shot and see how wonderful it is, and I hope it does well for a long time to come!
meh, its ok
then again, this is probably wut people thought about the simpsons when it first came out and look at it now,its the funniest show on TV
I LOVE Bob’s Burgers! The dry humor is just what the doctor ordered! Please keep the humor coming!
YES! Bobs Burgers is HYSTERICAL ! Thats what Family Guy USED to be ! Its like the NEW Simpsons!! I LOVE it!
Love it love it love it! Super excited that it is coming back! I love the voices, the characters and the story lines! They are fresh and original! I love the whole Animation Domination line up! But there is something “different” about Bob’s Burgers. I was never a person that had to watch the Sunday night line up until recently. I am one happy camper about the return! Woo Hoo!
This show is awesome!!! I love the dry humor. Tina is my favorite with her zombie sex dreams. Plus I like the names of the burgers of the day. They are witty. They should get rid of the stupid Cleveland Show, it sucks!
i’m with ya sister! What’s up with The Cleveland Show?! He pretty much was the weakest character in Family Guy: for him to get a spin off is lucricious!
not a fan. wished it wasn’t coming back.
I really like this show, I think its funny and I glad to see that Fox has decided to renew it.
More often than not, the networks don’t give new shows a chance. If a show doesn’t get rave reviews right out of the box, then they cancel it without a second thought. That really ticks me off! Sometimes they don’t even show the whole season. One week a show is on, the next, its never heard from again.
I hope the guy who plays the dad continues his role as Archer but Bobs Burger stinks.I am shocked they are bringing back that garbage.King of the hill should be brought back. Now that was a good show.
ITS NOT FUNNY, THE VOICES ARE BAD AN I COULD GO ON BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS SHOW IS COMPLETE GARBAGE. I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND WHY FOX DIDNT KEEP FUTURAMA
This made me day. Outstanding news!
Thanks FOX!!
I’m shocked this show is coming back. It was complete garbage.
ya. this show is def an acquired taste. i like it though 🙂
I like the show a lot. Heck, I dang near love it. Yes, there are plenty of stupid fart-type and in-poor-taste sexual jokes and the past few weeks have not been nearly as good as the season’s start (“**** restaurant”? Really?), but when the show’s funny, it’s really, REALLY funny. The Simpsons may provide more laughs, but Bob’s Burgers provides better ones in between the trying-too-hard moments.
