CBS is taking this Bull by the horns. The network just announced they’ve renewed the TV show for a fourth season amid controversy over star Michael Weatherly.
The legal centers on the brash and charming Doctor Jason Bull (Weatherly), who combines psychology, human intuition, and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick. The cast also includes Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, and Jaime Lee Kirchner.
It’s a little surprising that CBS has ordered another season of Bull. First of all, the show’s third season has dropped significantly in the ratings, going from 1.19 rating in the 18-49 demo during season two to only .75 this season with 6.686 million viewers. Compare this figure to season two’s 10.618 million viewers.
Additionally, the series is currently plagued by controversy. Deadline reports Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Television has left Bull because of recent sexual harassment allegations made against star Michael Weatherly.
Nevertheless, CBS has decided to pick up Bull for the 2019-20 season.

I love Bull and especially Michael Weatherly ever since NCIS. Bull is well written and has great characters…I commend CBS for not cow-towing to the complaint. Anyone can make an accusation…it seems in general they are coming out of the woodwork.

Season 3 was poor, much poorer than the 2 prior. Absolutely the silly remarks by weatherly left a taste in peoples mouths, the number speak volumes as at the finale was 4 million down in it’s main demo but the storyline was weak throughout, Bull hardly smiled for the first half of the season and playing a very internalised dour person doesn’t play to MW’s natural charisma. Michael Weatherly was a key to several seasons of NCIS, which today is second only to “Bull” among my favorite TV series. Uniquely, I think, many “Bull” episodes memorably involve moral dilemmas and seemingly impossible legal challenges. Weatherly’s acting skill provides a perfect persona to meet those elements.
I consider this one of the best shows on TV right now, up there with NCIS, FBI and The Rookies – well written with a great story line all headed by the handsome and charismatic Michael Weatherly who is accompanied by a fabulously talented supporting cast.
I really like Bull; and really LOVE Michael Weatherly!!! Definitely will watch next season. And I believe all claims of misconduct of ANY should be investigated thoroughly before taking ANY action against accused!

Please very handful shows worth watching these days and this is one of them!! My husband who never watches anything besides ESPN!! Actually really enjoys this show and loves the dialogue especially Jason Bull’s smart and witty lines lol…. Yes I will definitely watch season 4.
We love dr bull . This character is so much more charming than his ncis role! THe Episode story lines are so unique and out of the ordinary … please don’t cancel this show … it’s one of the few worthwhile shows to watch !!! Thank you !
Michael Weatherly is absolutely THE show…it is precisely his antics both verbal and physical that I tune in EAGERLY every Monday evening. The story lines are terrific. I love the courtroom drama. Cast is great. PLEASE keep this going. Love BULL and Michael Weatherly…the scoundrel! You betcha.
Bull is one of the best TV series. Great acting. Great story line. Great dialogue. It’s one show I never miss. I’m glad it is being renewed.
