Odette Annable has been cast as Zoe, in Jason Katims’ Bunker Hill TV series pilot for CBS. Annable played pilot Trudy Cooper on The Astronaut Wives Club, which was cancelled by ABC after one season.

Annable joins Augustus Prew, Dermot Mulroney, and Brenda Song, who joined the medical drama, last month. Katims is executive producing with Michelle Lee, and with David Semel, who is directing the pilot. Update 5/13/2016: The pilot was ordered to series under a new title, Pure Genius.

In Bunker Hill, Silicon Valley tech mogul, James Bell (Prew) is founding a new hospital — one that takes a “new school” approach to medical care. He drafts a zealous surgeon with a past (Mulroney), to help him in this new endeavor. Song is set as Angie, a computer programmer.

Deadline says Annable’s character, “…Zoe (aka Alex), [is] a forthright, idealistic physician at Bunker Hill, and a positive life force.”
