Like any network, ABC goes through a lot of TV shows in a season. While some remain on the air for the whole season, others come and go pretty quickly and are largely forgotten.
Here’s a listing of shows with their current status. This list encompasses shows that have aired from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
We’ll keep updating the list throughout the May upfronts when decisions are made about most of the shows’ fates. Keep checking back, especially if your favorite is still on the fence.

Here are listings for the other networks: CBS | The CW | FOX | NBC

What do you think? Any news that makes you particularly happy or sad? When compared to other networks, is ABC better or worse about cancelling shows?

love ghost whisper..will miss it much..bad call by network!!!!
I am very unhappy that you didn’t renew Ghost Whisperer. Your other shows I couldn’t care less. I hope your ratings drops this fall. You all have to be crazy not to listen to the people who watches ABC.. I believe the so call company needs to replace their CEO. You should had never cancelled Ghost Whisperer. I can see now that our opinon doesn’t matter. You’ll do what you want no matter what your viewers want.
I am frustrated with ABC! Just when you really start to get to know a show and relate to characters, they cancel it. They’ve done this several times, and leave the viewer with a cliff-hanger end of season finale and never any closure episode since the show isn’t picked up. New Adventures of Old Christine – so funny! Flashforward – what was going to happen next? This same situation happened with Eli Stone a few years ago and several other sitcoms. I don’t think I’ll invest any time in any of the new shows this fall on ABC since it… Read more »
I THINK THAT ABC IS THE WORST NETWORK ON TELEVISION, ASIDE FROM NBC A CLOSE SECOND. MY FAMILY LOVE CBS , THEY GIVE THE VEIWER WHAT IT WANT’S , EXCEPT FOR A FEW INSTANCES IT STILL OUT DOES THE OTHERS. LIKE JULIE CHEN, SAID ON CRAIG FERGUSON, LES MOONVES IS A VERY FAIR MAN AND IT SHOWS…
ABC IS NOTORIOUS FOR CANCELING EXCELLENT SHOWS BASED ON SOME PHANTOM RATINGS SYSTEM. FROM THE COMMENTS I’VE READ THERE SEEMS TO BE MANY MANY PEOPLE WHO WATCH THE SOON TO BE OR CANCELED SHOWS I DO.
Better Off Ted was an excellent show! Shame on you ABC!!! Shame on you.
Please keep Happy Town. No one gave it a chance to blossom. They gave it what? two episodes before they canceled it the first time? and now that it starts to get really good they cancel it again? the worst part is the second time they canceled it, they canceled it after the episode that generated the most questions. at least finish off the season. Please.
Romantically Challenged was good, hate to see it go. It was a good draw right before my Favorite Castle!!
How can the networks just cancel a show without at least giving the public that watch them a proper ending, Defying gravity was for me one of the best scyfi series i have seen since battlestar ended, It was very realistic and the acting was great, Its a shame that these large networks don’t give a damn about there viewers who not only sat and watched it but also went out and paid good money to by the DVD !!!! Its a shame.
I don’t understand these networks half of the shows they canceled are really good, and all they keep on is crap!!! I miss the Unusuals and Ugly Betty! If they cancel Private Practice or Grey’s I will Boycott ABC!!!!
Please keep Ghost whispper going. Please don’t cancel Ghost Whispper. Also please don’t cancel Mercy. Both shows are the best shows so far.
I am really discouraged that ABC pulled Happy Town am really picky about what to watch. I loved the twists and turns of a good who done it, the cast was superb great storyline it had it all. I am very disappointed to say the least and when I see some of the shows that made it back , it would seem they need to pay better attention, please leave people with IQ’s something to watch too. ABC I think needs someone with way more vision to make these decisions. NBC seems to be more on the ball at least… Read more »
I’m sorry that ABC saw fit to cancel a sexy and smart show directed at women of all ages (which my husband also didn’t mind watching). I’m getting sick of the betrayal! And now they are playing around with the fate of Legend of the Seeker. Sigh! I’m starting to get to the point of just writing my own entertainment for my own personal enjoyment. That way I’m at the mercy of my own time restrictions instead of some TV exec only caring about immediate return numbers instead of long term viewership growth potential. If shows aren’t bringing in millions… Read more »
