Of all of the networks, CBS has the most viewers. Unfortunately, their shows also tend to skew older. CBS tends to be the most tight-lipped of the networks so early news of renewals and cancellations doesn’t happen as often.
Here’s a listing of CBS TV shows with their current status. This list encompasses shows that have aired from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010.
We’ll keep updating the list throughout the May upfronts when decisions are made about most of the shows’ fates. Keep checking back, especially if your favorite is still on the fence.

What do you think? Any news that makes you particularly happy or sad? When compared to other networks, is CBS better or worse about cancelling shows?

I am dissapointed that you cancelled ghost whisper, numbers, and cold case. I never missed an episode of any of them. I hate that you are also cancelling As the World Turns I have watched that show for 30 plus yrs and very heartsickening when Guding Light was cancelled. I don’t understand what cbs is doing but they are losing alot of fan that do watch cbs, As far as I am concerned they can take off the reality shows. Also I don’t watch the game shows that come on in the daytime, except for the price is right.
I very dissapointed in Cbs for cancelling Ghost whisper and gary unmarried. Why not take off the reality shows and leave the other drama shows along. I have never missed a single episode of Ghost whisper even when I was very sick and in the hospital I watched it then. Also if Cbs keeps cancelling shows day or nite they will be looking for a job also.
We are so glad NCIS will be returning. My husband and I are already betting about the first show in the Fall. When you get old you can watch the reruns over and over since you can’t remember the details. We shall, however, have new ones for another year. Yes! They are a great cast and the stories are still great. Thank you Donald P. Bellasario! (We didn’t watch any of the cancellations so no tears here.)
Go Navy!
I am thrilled to see that Medium will be back, but very sad about New Christine being canned. The second half of this past season was the best they’ve done–very funny with great acting. Comedies with female leads are so few and far between, which is frustrating. I am very disappointed with this CBS decision!
cbs get off the damn reality tv crap who really watches those show cause ma and my family dont, its the same oh same oh. gary unmarried needs to stay and ghost whisperer, i am a military wife and no one we know watches reality tv show its the stupidest thing i have ever heard of and most of the really good sitcoms r going off air come on now take off reality and put those shows in their slots problem solved, cause on reality tv night we turn the tv off or watch a movie that we have seen… Read more »
i think there disgraceful for canceling these great shows my family watched for 3 years as loyal viewers to cbs and ghost whisperer and now they cut it like that its a shamful act and they are very cowardly for doing this also they should’ve givin miami medical a chance a tv show dos’nt become a hit over night it takes time i will probably not watch cbs any more this is a shame and i feel sad for the loses of these great shows
I am really dissapointed that Ghost Whisperer is being cancelled. I love it. I could watch it with my kids. Very few shows we can do that too.
Cancelling Cold Case is a mistake. Move it to Tuesday, there isn’t a drama show on Tuesday.
I can’t believe Ghost Whisperer has been canceled. I’m very disappointed in CBS over this as well as Gary Unmarried. It would be nice to actually wrap up the show like ABC did with LOST. The only station we ever watch is CBS but with the way they are bouncing our favorites time slots and canceling the others, we may be switching to FOX…..Fringe & Bones are pretty good shows I’m told.
I think CBS should give Miami Medical a different time slot and a change. This is a very good show and I don’t think they should cancel it.
I can’t believe CBS has cancelled “Christine” and “Unmarried”. They are two very good shows. Why take off good shows and leave all of the dumb reality shows or How I Met Your Mother on the air!
I am very disappointed in cbs, and I also watch cbs all the time, and so many of the shows being cancelled are some of my faves, ghost whisperer, cold case, new adventures, accidently, gary unmarried. i love all these shows and am just disgusted in the execs at cbs for cancelling such wonderful shows.
Please don’t cancel The New Adventures of Old Christine!!!!!!!!!!! Please, please…. pulllleaaaase!
Worse!! They need to stop just cancelling shows and not have them come to some type of ending. I understand shows may need to be cancelled but without any ending? Especially after they have such devoted fans watching all this time. Don’t understand why funny good feeling shows like Gary Unmarried and The New Adventures of Old Christine have to end. Why to make room for more depressing killing shows! Even Accidentally on Purpose had a good storyline to it. That sort of stuff does really happen in the REAL world. It would have been nice to see how they… Read more »
I have been a devoted viewer of CBS but as I read about all the shows that are cancelling I wonder how stupid can you be. Seriously, does CBS have their head up their butt??? I guess it will be time to switch tv stations; Fox is great and now NBC might be the channel to watch. I am so disappointed it makes me sick. Numb3rs is one of the best shows on TV. Why not move them to a different night? Gary Unmarried was extremely funny. I Just about every show being cancelled I watch. Only good thing I… Read more »
