Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I LOVED this show! Beautiful scenery, and it was just so nice to escape with this show. I loved the characters and the storylines, it was just a good getaway. I can’t believe they are taking off this show, and there is so much trash on every station. Don’t get me wrong, I also love Dexter and Breaking Bad, but sometimes a girl needs a break.

I just learn season 4 of cedar cove is not coming back at lease give us a final show to end up the story line if not on hallmark make it on Netflix. This truly is a sad day with all the other shows on tv today. Cedar Cove will truly be miss!!!!
I am sorry to hear there is no Season 4, I just was introduced to Cedar Cove and love the show. There are so few wholesome shows out there that are not full of horror, foul language and sex. There are many who would like to see this show return. Thank you
I just finished watching all 3 seasons on Netflix with my 21 year old and we both want a season 4. This is such a nice series and one of the first I could watch at ease with my daughter. Please reconsider.!!
I had never seen this show until this past month June 2016. Watched all 36 episodes and loved it! Please reconsider or at least have one more show to finalize some of their situations! I am 80 and will now never no what happened! It was the kind of shows my generation enjoyed, maybe that is why the ratings went down!
I didn’t realize cedar cove was canceled. I was looking forward to the return of the show and was trying to figure out when it was going to start. Disappointed that I won’t see it this summer

Actually, I am not surprised that Cedar Cove has been cancelled, I pretty much saw it coming. I thought the story line was OK but the acting was horrible. That’s what did it for me. I would cringe whenever there was any attempt of affection between Olivia and Jack, there was just no believable chemistry between them. Sorry to see them go, but there are much better Hallmark programs than Cedar Cove.

Very disappointed that Cedar Cove was cancelled. It was such a good series and with very little to watch that is good, its going to be dismal fall for TV watching.
I was not aware of the cancellation either. My mom’s favorite show. Mom’s 81 and has been waiting all these long months. I don’t know how I’ll tell her. She hates all these sick wacko werewolves, killing everyone, gruesome horrible TV shows of today. She fell in love with cedar cove from the first episode which I turned her on to. She will be so disappointed. Love to see a wholesome shoe like that. How about some more episodes or a movie.
Although I do not watch alot of television I enjoyed Cedar Cove very much. We looked forward to it every week and enjoyed it so much. I hated to hear that it was not renewed. Would love to see it come back!
I discovered the show on Netflix which in turn lead me to watching shows on the Hallmark Channel. I can’t believe that I just found it and binged watched it, only to learn it has been cancelled! Can there at least be a reunion show to wrap up some story lines?
I had been waiting for the summer of 2016 for season 4 to come about. Obviously, that is NOT going to happen. This makes me sad and VERY unhappy! Please bring it back!
