Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

Very disappointed Cedar Cove cancelled..would love to see it return
So disappointed at this announcement. I was eagerly awaiting season 4 and found online that it will not happen. Consider a movie or an ending show of some sort.
If your going to end a show, then end it. Don’t leave all the viewers up in the air about Justine and Olivia. I really liked this show. I am so disappointed I won’t ever find out what happened.
Does the network take into account NETFLIX viewing? That is where I watched all 3 seasons.

My wife and I enjoyed this series every summer and were part of the 1.6 million viewers who didn’t fade off. One would think that number would be enough to warrant a series return, or at least a “closure” to the storyline. Even after a hiatus they could return with a short season of final episodes.
I’m very disappointed. We enjoyed the show so much! I didn’t know it was cancelled.
Can we at least have one final two hour episode so Olivia can quit Jack for Paul?

We loved Cedar Cover!! Yes bring it back. We have continued to look for it. We just found out that it was cancelled. We are very disappointed.
It’s all about the money. Good shows and viewers don’t mean anything to the company. Money Money, Money.
I love this show. Everything about it. You get vested in the characters and who they are. I agree it’s a whole show but it also dealt with lots of issues we deal with every day. I hope somebody makes the right choice and brings this back.
My wife and I really enjoyed the series and will sadly miss not having it around any more. We truly loved the show and cast. I hope Hallmark will reconsider.
I am so upset that Cedar Cove is not returning. I just finished Season 3 on Netflix . I loved the series and was looking forward to Season 4.. I am extremely disappointed with Hallmark .. This show was about people who truly cared about each other. Hope they reconsider!
I was able to watch this show on netflix. I Googled when season 4 would air and I read it had been canceled. It was very disappointing. Season 3 ended as if there would be another season. Such a fantastic show to have been canceled.
I just watched the final episode last night on Netflix. Maybe Netflix will buy it and finish the story? Let everyone know if you want to see more.
