Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I really enjoyed and loved Cedar Cove so much. I love Andie MacDowell and the entire cast. When the show ended there were so many unanswered questions but I enjoyed watching every episode. To be honest I would really love for you to bring us us a 4th 5th and 6th, 7thseason. It’s like being swept into another beautiful world you can’t ever get enough
I enjoyed and loved watching Cedar Cove so much. It was one of the most unique and best shows on television. So well written. I love Andie MacDowell and the entire cast it gave me such Joy to watch this show!! I watched all 3 Seasons and I definitely think the network should give us a 4th season. I just don’t get it. A great story great actors and we all are willing to wait a whole year to see the next episode and then you decide for all of us to cancel it. What has happened to clean great shows. I guess they don’t pay the bills anymore I love the show so much it’s like a fairy tale show which is great for this world these days. I guess I should stop watching the good witch too because it will go off next. Very disappointed with hallmark and the mighty dollar
I would like to see Olivia answer Pauls question. The loose ends of season 3 should be wrapped up in final episode or something.
I really enjoyed Cedar Cove…it was a “clean” show without all the violence and bad language so many tv shows have today. I REALLY wanted to see Olivia and Paul get together. Please consider a follow-up movie or something to give the show an ending. Feels like it was just chopped off.
I am so disappointed to find out that Cedar Cove season four has been cancelled!!! It was my favorite Hallmark series. How dare they cancel without an ending?
I really like Cedar Cove and I am really tired of watching seasons of a show only for it to be cancelled. If a sow is going to be cancelled, it needs to have an ending show, not a cliff hanger. This has happened on too many series I have watched and it makes me want to Google them to see if the following season is going to be on TV or if its going to be cancelled before I get interested in the show. I absolutely want Cedar Cove to continue!! Hated being left on a cliffhanger! For those die-hard fans of Debbie Macomber’s books, especially her Cedar Cove series, it will be SO disappointing if this series does not continue. The firs three series were awesome, but there is so much more of the Cedar Cove story that needs to be told!!
Devastated that Cedar Cove had been cancelled. It was so refreshing to have a wholesome show to watch.
I really enjoyed the series! Like most others on here would love to see a final movie to close up the loose ends in season 3 finale. It was a great show to watch without all the things typically shown now days.
My husband and I both loved Cedar Cove. We so looked forward to watching it and are very disappointed that it has been cancelled. We are a little gun shy now about watching any new shows shown on Hallmark Channel. We both think it was a bad decision but time will tell with viewers and fans.
I am very disappointed that there will be no season 4. This show was very inviting. I really loved the setting and the characters. Job well done! I don’t know anything about ratings but if there were 1.6 million viewers in season 3, was that not enough to keep it on the air? As many have posted, I believe as loyal fans of the show we deserve better. Give us another season or a 2 hour movie finale for closure. Preferably another season.

Please do a two hour movie finale!! This was a great show!!! Excellent cast!!Very disappointed it has been canceled!! I hope there was a better reason to cancel this show than just a million people watched it and looked forward to it!
I just finished binge watching the Cedar Cove series on Netflix. I encouraged others that have not watched to start, before realizing that the series has been cancelled. Extremely disappointed. The Hallmark Channel needs to seriously consider releasing a 4th season or a movie to give closure. Possibly Netflix could pick up the series. The characters and setting will be missed.
