Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

It was an honor to bring to life the kindness, consideration and courage of this story that Debbie Macomber envisioned. I loved watching Cedar Cove and am disappointed that it was cancelled. I wish that you would at least do a wrap-up show and tie up the loose ends.

THANK YOU / THANK YOU HALLMARK. I am so grateful you pulled the plug on this lame ass show. My wife , her sisters ,my sisters , her friends even co-workers watched this CRAP like clock-work – then called each other after the show to talk about it , as if the characters really existed. I always made fun of how they loved this modern day soap opera bull-****, no one I know talks or acts like anyone on the show. I love, love Cedar Cove and am very disappointed that it will not be returning. It was a very wholesome show that tackled some tough but real topics. I looked forward to my Saturday nights!There are too many reality shows on tv that are just plain junk. Please bring back Cedar Cove and answer all of our questions about our favorite characters, we need to know what happens.
I am very disappointed that Cedar Cove was canceled. There were so many unanswered questions and the characters were very well developed up to that point. Debbie Macomber is one of my favorite authors. I would really like to see Cedar Cove Series return. This was a good show. Much better than all the reality crap tv series. I am so sick of them. They are totally disgusting. What has happened to tv? It’s a shame that such a good show was canceled.

Started watching all 3 seasons on Netflix and was searching my cable tv for more episodes. Found nothing so decided to look it up only to find out it has cancelled. Really bummed. Left me hanging and would love to see it come back.

So hoping after all the disappointed viewers, Cedar Cove would be back on. How sad, it was such a wholesome show. Loved the Actors, setting and storyline.
Just found out there will not be a season 4. I am shocked after watching it for 3 seasons and there will not be a conclusion to the show. Looked forward to watching this show every week. Bring it back with a conclusion to the show. Don’t like the way you left it with no conclusion.
So disappointed that Cedar Cove won’t be back. We were looking forward to it. I wish it could have been finished tho. I feel lIke we got cheated out of what happened to the story lines.
It is a shame to leave your audience hanging without a conclusion/final episode. You’ve treated us like dirt who have faithfully watched from the very beginning. Very unprofessional. We are trying to get interested in your new series, Chesapeake Bay but it’s not even close to being interesting or good. We will watch one more time but it will never be as good as Cedar Cove.
