Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

With all the garbage on TV today Cedar Cover was such a relief. Chesapeake doesn’t even come close. Wish Hallmark would have asked the viewers their opinion.

I am very sad that Cedar Cove was cancelled, I loved the cast, place, storyline…they were like part of my family. Who made the decision to cancel without asking the FANS how they felt??? Not a good decision. Sorry but Chesapeake isn’t doing it for me. Love Hallmark Channel though.
I’ve been waiting and watching for cedar cove to return season four. And just finally looked it up and saw that it has been cancelled. Man. I’m so sad. I LOVE that show. There’s not much on tv any more that’s considered GOOD intetainement. I loved the cast and story line. And also loved seeing the country side in back ground. It’s just beautiful up there I never knew upper west coast of USA was so beautiful. I’ll miss this show terribly. Pleas bring it back. !!! ❤️
I loved Cedar Cove!! I am extremely disappointed you have chosen to not keep this series. Finally, something worth watching and you yank it off air. Please reconsider.
I fell in love with Cedar Cove and am extremely disappointed to find that it has been cancelled. I truly hope that the decision will be reversed.
I am so sad you’re not bringing it back for season 4. PLEASE reconsider and do 1 final season to tie up the loose ends. It was torture the way it ended!
Just found out it’s been cancelled. I’m very disappointed in Hallmark. Why is 1.7 MILLION viewers not enough???? Really??? Come on Netflix…how about some more episodes!!
Finally, a non trashy show with great characters and story line. So sad to have it end with no END. Please reconsider and at least finish with a season four. I’d like everyone to ride off into the sunset. No tragedies please!
Super sad it was cancelled especially without finishing the story. It was a perfect show to unwind to at the end of a day. Very disappointed!
Thank god it is gone! It’s been like a wreck you don’t want to look but you can’t stop. Did they shoot one scene in three years that didn’t have a coffee cup in it? The most surgery sweet tripe I’ve ever seen. Used to be an Andie MacDowell fan but head tilting, toothy smile, never upset was too much. The world doesn’t act like these people. Goodbye and yeah.
If you didn’t like it you could always watch something else. For those of us that did like it ..we are disappointed.
Hallmark, this is the only program my husband loved and he only likes soccer and tennis!
He got me interested in the series since the story line was good and the scenery was amazingly beautiful. Who needs Andie, do a two hour movie next year, without her, to wrap up the story line!
If you live with such a bad attitude so be it. It’s your problem. You DIDNT have to watch it. There ARE good people out there and good communities that treat each other with respect. If you want bad television. You can watch ( The Exorcist ) new tv show this fall !!!

Was so bummed that Cedar Cove got Cancelled! How about at least making the Cedar Cove Christmas books into movies with THIS cast?
I loved Cedar Cove!!!! It was a heartwarming show with wonderful characters. Its so hard to find sweet morally good shows. This was one of them. I will certainly miss this show and the characters. At least you could do one show and wrap up all the loose ends for the devoted fans. Hallmark you are not doing yourself any favors by cancelling this show. BRING IT BACK!!!!
