Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

Sooo disappointed to find Cedar Cove has been cancelled! Such a great show, was looking forward to a new season. Please reconsider your decision! Maybe if you didn’t take such long breaks in between episodes we could keep track of when they air.
Thus makes me so angry. I was looking for the new episode start and found this info. Does this silly network really think more people will watch the recycled movies, okd series and Gid forsaken Christmas crud three times a year? thanks s girl won’t. And the new show this summer fell off my radar when I missed one and couldn’t find a repeat or on demand. Stupid marketing!!! Wake up. I would hope that they would do a special wrapping up the relationships pending.
We loved the show, Cedar Cove. It had a cast of characters that we cared about and the setting for the show was a beautiful, small town…….my whole family watched it together without fear of inapropriate language. Such a shame that the show was cancelled……VERY AGGRAVATING!! We always recorded it and watched it afterwards……
I love this show,, it’s just horrible that it was cancelled. I really wanted to see what happens with Olivia and Justine!! Bring it back please!!!
I just finished watching season 3 to then find out that there was no season 4. 🙁 please bring cedar cove back…
A shame. Clean viewing. So much more to offer than The Real Housewives or Kardashian shows. It wasn’t advertised enough. My friends never heard of it.

I would love to see what happened on the Cedar Cove Series, I loved that show. I missed that show. I wish Hallmark and the Director and all the working crew would not cancel the show. It was the best series I have seen since Dynasty was on, years ago. Please think about bring back the Cedar Cove Series, or at least one or two more episodes to end every person’s story on the show. A complete “Movie” of the series with an ending for each person would be perfect. Please do something about it.

I’m very upset that there was only 3 seasons to Cedar Cove. Every time I find something on Netflix that I like they cancel the show for some reason and it is very disappointing to find this out!! Especially the way they left you hanging on Cedar Cove as to why what is going to happen in Season 4 Episode 1 and how will Olivia and Paul end up or will she stay with Jack and what about her daughter and the young man she is involved with does he every get to reenlist or do they part ways and… Read more »
Yes, I would like to watch Cedar Cove again. You know how it feels to not get that last bite of a cookie? Well, that is how I feel about Cedar Cove. But wait, this is the same company that let go one of their family members, Christina.

I have to say how very disappointed my wife and I were to find out that Cedar Cove wont be returning. It was an awesome family oriented series that was good clean entertainment.
Please at least have some kind of “Cedar Cove” movie finale and close the open doors.
