Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:
Cedar Cove was the first series launched on Hallmark Channel, and we are incredibly proud of the exquisitely beautiful three season arc it delivered. It was an honor to bring to life the kindness, consideration and courage of this story that Debbie Macomber envisioned. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the extraordinary cast, writers, artists and designers — especially Andie MacDowell, executive producer and show runner Sue Tenney, and of course, Debbie Macomber. It is a privilege to continue a creative working relationship with the incredible talents associated with this series — both in front of and behind the camera – for upcoming projects on Hallmark Channel USA and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

You’ll see Barbara Niven star with Alison Sweeney in the next installment of #MurderSheBaked: A Plum Pudding Mystery” premiering 11/22 also on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. And you’ll see Brennan Elliott star with Mariah Carey & Lacey Chabert in the premiere of #AChristmasMelody Dec 19th on Hallmark Channel USA!
The last episode of Cedar Cove aired on September 26th and ended with lots of unanswered questions.
What do you think? Do you like the Cedar Cove TV show? Do you think that it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you like to see the characters return someday?
Please have season 4. This was a grate show. I witch it on Netflix and loved it and now I fine out there isn’t going to be a season. Please bring it back.

I would love to see another season of Cedar Cove especially with so many unanswered questions.
I was very disappointed to hear that cedar cove had been cancelled. I would have at least like to have seen one more season to wrap everthing up. Would love for it to come back if only for that.
Please bring it back! Loved the characters and the setting.
Please bring it back! I love the characters and the town. At the very least, as another commentor said, it would be nice to have finished the serious without unanswered questions or loose ends.
Loved the series. Both my husband and I watched the series and are disappointed that it is over with. Surely the loose ends could be tied up nicely.
Please bring it back!!! I actually got my husband to watch it with me on vacation & he was so disappointed that the story wasn’t completed!!! It was great!
We loved the series. We would definately love to see more!
BRING CEDAR COVE BACK!!!!! Great storyline and cast!!
I would like to see cedar cove come back. It was very refreshing to see a family show that we could all watch together. I am very disappointed to see it cancelled.
Not everyone has cable didn’t get to watch this until it came to Netflix then bunged watch and perplexed why it got cancelled and disappointed in the ending. Bring it back at least a movie … again not everyone has cable, probably why low ratings. Good clean show.
I accidentally found Cedar Cove on Netflix the other night. I’m absolutely hooked. I enjoy watching a few episodes every night and will binge watch this wknd. It’s a good clean story line with great actors and beautiful scenery. I’m so sorry that it has been cancelled. I don’t watch much regular tv. The network channels don’t have much that interests me. I would love for Hallmark to bring it back.
I am very disappointed to find out that there will not be a season four. I watched every episode and became invested in the characters . It’s like watching a whole movie and missing the ending. I suggest you reconsider filming another season so that people feel like they have seen the end of the movie. The scenery was so beautiful, it was very enjoyable to watch.
I just finished binge watching Cedar Cove. I don’t get much time to watch TV during the week since I work so many hours. I find that network TV doesn’t offer much in the way of entertainment anymore. I turn to other channels, but usually when the better shows are on I am still at work or going to bed so I miss out. Thankfully with Netflix and my friends and families recommendations I can find some quality shows. I was pleasantly surprised when I started watching Cedar Cove. It was like reading a very good book brought to life.… Read more »
Just finished watching the entire series on Netflix. Fine, wholesome show with some good information about how to make relationships work well. Sad to see the last episode left us hanging.
