Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:
Cedar Cove was the first series launched on Hallmark Channel, and we are incredibly proud of the exquisitely beautiful three season arc it delivered. It was an honor to bring to life the kindness, consideration and courage of this story that Debbie Macomber envisioned. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the extraordinary cast, writers, artists and designers — especially Andie MacDowell, executive producer and show runner Sue Tenney, and of course, Debbie Macomber. It is a privilege to continue a creative working relationship with the incredible talents associated with this series — both in front of and behind the camera – for upcoming projects on Hallmark Channel USA and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

And you’ll see Brennan Elliott star with Mariah Carey & Lacey Chabert in the premiere of #AChristmasMelody Dec 19th on Hallmark Channel USA!
The last episode of Cedar Cove aired on September 26th and ended with lots of unanswered questions.
What do you think? Do you like the Cedar Cove TV show? Do you think that it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Would you like to see the characters return someday?

Cannot believe they’ve cancelled this series. Makes no sense to those of us who loved it.
So sorry it wont be back. It was a good series. Any chance for a two hour wrap up??
Sorry to read that Cedar Cove was not renewed. Loved the series. When I had learned that Hallmark was bringing Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove to show, I went to library to check out the book. I learned that there were about 10 books in the Cedar Cove series. I read all of them & loved them, then waited for the Hallmark series to start. Loved what Hallmark did, but as a series a better show would have been had if each of the books with the new characters where used; since each book linked back to the main characters. But… Read more »
I just loved Cedar Cove and am so sorry that it has been canceled. I have seen many of the cast members in other Hallmark shows, but to cancel Cedar Cove, shame on you. I hope you will reconsider and have another season just to “wrap everything up.”
Bring back cedar cove! Love the show.. Was hoping to catch the 4th season.!
Why couldn’t they have at least aired one more season with Jack and Olivia getting married and Seth and Justine getting back together instead of leaving the series hanging like they did? It is so frustrating of an ending to leave it with. My husband and I both really liked the series. It’s so refreshing to watch a series that is clean and takes you to a beautiful world of mountains and ocean set it in an idealistic town. It makes me want to move there! I love all the cast and especially Moon and his bohemian cafe.
We would have a party with friends to watch cedar cove. What a shame. Really good show. Love the book series and Debbie’S work. So disappointed!!
Bring Cedar Cove back. We love it!
lose Maytag Man and ratings will soar!
I really like cedar cove I hope it will come back
I’m kind of sad it will not be returning for another season, Made my summers nice,
Well, I have to be honest. I had high hopes for this series, I mean Debbie Macomber is great! The story lines were not great. None of the characters had any chemistry and they made Olivas character just plain boring. I love each of these actors in different shows, but the combination was not good casting. Nothing ever resolved on Cedar Cove, there was never a happy ending to anything. I think with a few tweaks this series could of been great!
Turns me off from watching much more of anything aired by Hallmark. If Hallmark had any class and loyalty to fans of the show they could have announced in advance a final short season.
one of my favorite..i think it needs to be renewed…come on Hallmark why cancel such a good series…
I loved that show. I have read all the Cedar Cove books and was very excited to see those people show up in the series. Will miss this very much.
I loved Cedar Cove. It is a shame that Hallmark will not be renewing the series. Please wrap up this series with a 2 hour special for the fans. There are so many unanswered questions from the last episode.
