Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/29/11
The premiere had poor numbers and week two did even worse with a 1.5 in the demo and 7.11 million. That’s a week-to-week loss of 29% in the demo. The show was fourth in the timeslot and barely beat CW’s Vampire Diaries. It would not be a surprise if ABC pulled this disaster soon. What is it about the network’s luck with this timeslot?
Season average: 1.8 demo with 7.94 million.
Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/22/11
This remake certainly isn’t a hit right out of the gate. It attracted only a 2.1 in the 18-49 demographic and 8.76 million viewers. The premiere was in third place for the timeslot and the network’s worst-performing scripted series of the week.
On the positive side, based on the 15-minute breakdown of the ratings, most viewers who tuned in to see the premiere stuck with it for the entire hour. That’s a positive sign for the second episode because the new Charlie’s Angels can’t afford to lose any viewers.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the new Charlie’s Angels TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

Ireally Like Charlie’s Angels and I hope that It make It for a second season but they’ve been canceled the show They’ve already been taken off the air And if It does came back on the air I hope It’s with A new Network Not Ac Because they’ve Already Canceled Them
Please give it another chance. I loved watching it. It had good stories!
Every new show needs to find its place, its character on tv…’Star Trek’ did and it turned out to be a mega, huge success!
Bring the Angels back please! Over 6 million viewers agreed!!
YES!!! Please give it a second chance.. I am one of who started to watch first episode til now.. I do REALLY want to see what’s more comin by.. They’re very interested and much different than old ones.. Those young ladies prove America women who we can fight back and make us to know we are strong.. It’s like the role models.. It’s finally about the time to see fair between men and women.. I am tired to see alot of men like Hawaii 5-0, csi, ncsi, or whatever else.. Most are more on men. It need to show more… Read more »
I’m disgusted that with more than FIVE MILLION people watching it, they consider that a failure . . . . Why can’t another network, who isn’t so “uppity” about 5 million viewers not being enough, take it over and put it back into production? Like AMC or TNT? Breaking Bad is a terrific show, and I love it. But it has never had more than about 2 million viewers, and yet it reportedly costs roughly $3m per episode to produce. There’s no way you can convince me that if Breaking Bad can make a profit with those numbers that Charlie’s… Read more »
i love charlie’s angel it’s new and has alot of action more than the old ones!
Said it before. I’ll say it again: more originality, less reboots (no reboots).
I LOVE THE SHOW!! GIVE IT A CHANCE!!!! THE ACTORS ARE GREAT. COME ONE YOU CAN’T CANCEL IT AFTER 4 OR 5 SHOWS!!
I just don’t understand why shows are not given a chance….
The show keeps getting better and better and I feel like its finally starting to find its ground. The Charlie conspiracy at the end gives viewers something to hang onto and is a twist on the original series.
I love how fun this show is and it should get a second chance to prove itself. I feel like ABC made a bad decision by canceling it prematurely. They need to give the show a fair chance to prove itself and turn its ratings around.
Everybody needs to come together to save charlies angels. it is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! we need to keep it.
Charlies Angels is canceled- Just got notice…
I JUST WATCH THEM ALL THIS WEEK ON ON-DEMAND DID’M ALL IN ONE NIGHT.. I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE CANLED CAUSE ABC HAS A HABIT OF CANCLEING ALL THE SHOWS I LIKE.. EVERY YEAR… I’M GLAD IT NOT A TOTAL COPY OF THE ORGINAL.. THAT THERE NOT THE SAME CHARITORS,, I THINK KATE IS A TOTALY FIFFERNT PERSON JUST THE SAME NAME FOR COMFORT.. I LOVE THE NEW BOSLY,, YOUNG , FINE,,, YUMMY, ITS ONLY THE FIRST FEW SHOWS YES SOME IMPROVEMENT WILL BE NEEDED BUT LET THEM SEE WHAT WORK AN WHAT DOESN’T GIVE’M A CHANCE HOW MANY TIMES… Read more »
i think the show is great, while it may have gotten off to a slow start, its good to see refreshing and new faces on tv to lead a series and the ensemble cast and guest stars, especially episode airing 10-3-11 was absolutely one of those sit at the edge of your seat, incredible, thrilling, pulse racing episodes i think they should give this show the chance it deserves to pull its weight as its only been 3 episodes and we all know that it takes at least 4 or 5 episodes to really get the show going. i think… Read more »
i think u should give the show a break i liked the show and i wish u would put it back on pleace its better then any relity show they have on its a clean show
I know the new Angels started off not so great but its an old show with a new concept and I really am getting into this new Angels revamp. I think its should get a second season NOT a cancellation. I mean a few of the original Angels themselves even give it a thumbs up …. keep on watching people give it a chance.
i agree, give the show a chance to prove itself….4 episodes is all they get and already its gone?? what happened to abc being the one network that actually gives shows the chance to prove themselves to make it. for example, how many times did they cancel southland and for how long and now again they are bringing in back…and what about BET show ‘the game’ that was cancelled for over a year and now they have brought back and ordered another season
Overall a good show. The 1976 Charlie’s Angels made changes and ditched Woodville , changed the agency set, Jackson’s hair, and the polyester dresses. Annie has nailed the Kate role and is easily the “smart one.” Minka is gorgeous, but Taylor’s Abby character just seems to be hateful. Ramon’s “Bosley” is genius. I thought episode 3 was engaging; much improved over the first two. The show is too much like CSI-Miami. Drew Barrymore should know how to make the needed subtle changes. The original 1976 girls exuded the “fantasy” drop-dead gorgeous confidence that seems to be missing with all the… Read more »
