What’s This TV Show About?
A Hallmark Canadian-American drama, the Chesapeake Shores stars Meghan Ory, Jesse Metcalfe, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Kayden Magnuson, Abbie Magnuson, Greyston Holt, Carlo Marks, Jessica Sipos, Lanie McAuley, and Barbara Niven. The story centers on career woman Abby O’Brien (Ory), a divorced mother of two young daughters who leaves New York for her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, where her first love Trace (Metcalfe) lives.

Telly’s Take
Will Hallmark cancel or renew Chesapeake Shores for season five? There were only six episodes this year but the show remained a pretty good performer for the channel. Based on the numbers, I think it will be renewed but am unsure why there were so few episodes. Could this be an indication that Hallmark is going to end the show or, that it’s an expensive program to produce? I’ll update this page with breaking developments. There is so few truly uplifting shows on TV that are about family and love and being good in life, I would love nothing more than many more seasons.
Please keep this show and offer more episodes each season, too. It is one of a kind and so refreshing, and something that I can actually watch with my daughter.
Please do not cancel Chesapeake Shores. I love the show, the story line and its actors. I can’t wait for each season. Season 4 has been too short. There is so much more of this family’s story. Each family member has a mini story within the main story. Can’t wait for season 5 to find out more.
Please do not cancel Chesapeake Shore. This a very good show. The cast/crew are so very good. About. Family, friends, Being there for one another. Working together. Children, setting good examples. Happy times, sad times. One of my favorite shows, the best.

I love Chesapeake shores. The setting, the actors, the stories, there’s so much to love.
Only disappointment is that there are only 6 shows and you have to wait so long for
the next season. Why can’t Hallmark run 15 or more shows? I’m sure the actors would
be fine with it and I think there are so many stories that can be told. It’s just beginning.
I’ve turned my friends on to it and they love it too!!

Not only would I like the show to be renewed but there needs to be more episodes. Six weeks is not enough time for the storyline and the characters to evolve.
