What’s This TV Show About?
A Hallmark Canadian-American drama, the Chesapeake Shores stars Meghan Ory, Jesse Metcalfe, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Kayden Magnuson, Abbie Magnuson, Greyston Holt, Carlo Marks, Jessica Sipos, Lanie McAuley, and Barbara Niven. The story centers on career woman Abby O’Brien (Ory), a divorced mother of two young daughters who leaves New York for her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, where her first love Trace (Metcalfe) lives.

Telly’s Take
Will Hallmark cancel or renew Chesapeake Shores for season five? There were only six episodes this year but the show remained a pretty good performer for the channel. Based on the numbers, I think it will be renewed but am unsure why there were so few episodes. Could this be an indication that Hallmark is going to end the show or, that it’s an expensive program to produce? I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I was disappointed when Cedar Cove was canceled and would be totally disappointed in Hallmark if they cancel this great family shows too. We look to Hallmark exactly for a show like this and such a great cast. The only problem is waiting for a show so long and only getting
6 episodes just doesn’t make sense. Why isn’t there 15 or more? We all h0pe it’s renewed soon but waiting so long for such a short season doesn’t seem like a good executive decision if you want your viewing public to remain invested in the characters.

It’s very hard to find a family show that’s any good. I’ve enjoyed watching it and look forward to the next season with excitement. The scenery and location is breathtaking and the cast is perfect. Please announce the 5th season!

Please don’t cancel Chesapeake Shores, we love this show! The whole family can watch it. I was sad there were only 6 episodes this season. We also love, When Calls the Heart and the Good Witch. Please keep making this three series! We have shows we can watch with the family! I love the Hallmark Channels and we have your streaming too.

This is a wholesome, family show which is hard to find today. I would hate to see it cancelled. I look forward to it every year.
I love Chesapeake Shores. It’s my happy summer show that makes anyone who watches it long for that kind of family unity. Please don’t cancel it and please make more episodes in season 5. This season was way to short!! Don’t take what little hope for love and family life away from America!! Thank you Hallmark for making tv happy and full of hope and love.
