WARNING: CHICAGO JUSTICE SPOILERS AHEAD!
Chicago Justice premiered last week and there are already some big ties to Law & Order. Recently, showrunner Michael Chernuchin spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the NBC series.
Part of Dick Wolf’s Chicago franchise, the legal drama centers on Peter Stone (Philip Winchester), the dogged Deputy Chief of the Special Prosecutions Bureau and the son of Law & Order character Ben Stone (Michael Moriarty). The cast also includes Carl Weathers, Monica Barbaro, Joelle Carter, and Jon Seda.
In the interview, Chernuchin says Law & Order star Sam Waterston could make an appearance on Chicago Justice:
We actually talked for a brief second about having Sam [Waterston] come in, but we thought it was too early. But maybe in the future.”
Later, he mentioned that characters from Law & Order: SVU could also be brought on for future seasons of the NBC series:
It would be hard because of the jurisdictional problem but I have a way to do it and it actually would be a way to kind of bring in SVU. It wouldn’t be this season; it would have to be next season.”
What do you think? Did you watch the premiere of Chicago Justice? Which Law & Order characters would you like to see on the series?
Would like to see Ben Stone make an appearance in season two
I love all the Chicago franchise shows, but Justice has quickly become my favorite. People are saying it should be cancelled because the ratings are at 1.00 but it’s because it hasn’t even been on long enough for people to truly give it a chance. As for the bull that’s being said about Monica Barbaro aka Anna Valdez, take a closer look. I love her acting. She is my favorite character on this show. I really feel her acting is so true and real, compared to more experienced actors out there. She has a really good thing going for her.
Would love to see Mariska Hargitay and Sam Waterston on future episodes.
I think adding L&O actors to Justice would be excellent!

I would love to see Danny Pino (Nick Amaro) come to Chicago Justice!

it’s a cool series
It’s sort of dry, but still watchable. Antonio and Peter are keeping me interested.
